Police in Georgia are investigating the death of Albany State University student Olivia Robinson

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing
A college student in Georgia has died after exiting a moving vehicle.
Police responded to a call of “a deceased person” on the 700 block of Newton Road in Albany, located in the southwestern part of the state, at approximately 1:55 a.m. local time on Saturday, Sept. 12, according to a press release shared by the Albany Police Department (APD).
Upon arrival, officers identified the victim as Olivia Robinson.

Police said Robinson had “exited” a “moving vehicle” while riding as a passenger in the area, per the release.
The APD said the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
The Dougherty County coroner, Michael Fowler, said Robinson was an 18-year-old Albany State University (ASU) student, per WALB News 10.
The coroner’s office and ASU did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
