Are Dakota Johnson and Role Model becoming an item?
The Fifty Shades of Grey star, 36, and the singer-songwriter (né Tucker Pillsbury), 28, were spotted out for dinner in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 14, according to video obtained by Deuxmoi and recently posted on Instagram. Johnson and Role Model’s outing is the second time the pair have been spotted spending time together in recent weeks. TMZ published photos of Johnson and the “Sally When the Wine Runs Out” singer at a dinner together over the holidays on Dec. 29.
Representatives for Johnson and Role Model did not return PEOPLE’s request for comment.
The romance rumors regarding Johnson and Role Model, whose star has been rising since he released his second album Kansas Anymore in July 2024, come some seven months after PEOPLE confirmed that she and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin broke up for good in June 2025, ending an eight-year on-off relationship that began in 2017. A source told PEOPLE in November that Johnson “has been slowly dating again and she’s happy” in the wake of her split from Martin, 48.
“Her relationship with Chris was often hot and cold, and while she always hoped they’d work out, she seems lighter and more at peace now that it’s final,” the source said at that time.

Role Model, meanwhile, was in a relationship with internet creator Emma Chamberlain between 2020 and 2023. Chamberlain, 24, raised some eyebrows back in November when she danced to “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” in a video with podcaster Owen Thiele.
Johnson has one new movie in the works for 2026: an adaptation of author Colleen Hoover’s Verity, due in theaters Oct. 2. Beyond that, she is setting out on directing her own feature film for the first time with a movie titled A Tree Is Blue, which will star Jessica Alba and Charli xcx. Role Model, meanwhile, begins touring again with shows in Australia and New Zealand scheduled for February. He also has tour dates listed for Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Bonnaroo in Tennessee in June, as well as two shows in the United Kingdom in August.
