Eddie Murphy is a proud grandfather!
At the American Film Institute Achievement Award Ceremony on Saturday, April 18, the 65-year-old Coming to America star told Entertainment Tonight: "I just had my first grandson two months ago."
The news comes after his daughter, Bria, shared a glimpse of her baby bump at the November red carpet premiere of her father's new documentary, Being Eddie. Bria, 36, and her husband, Michael Xavier, tied the knot in July 2022.

Along with sharing the news of his first grandson, Eddie also confirmed the birth of his third granddaughter. “I had my third granddaughter two weeks ago,” the Dreamgirls actor told ET, referring to the baby girl recently born to his son Eric and Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin.
“So all this stuff is happening," Eddie continued. "I'm like it's raining blessings on me. Raining blessings.”
He previously revealed to E! News that her name is Ari Skye. Eric, 36, and Jasmin got married last May and announced they were expecting in a February Instagram photo.
Along with being a grandfather, Eddie is also a dad to 10. He shares son Eric with then-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, and son Christian, 35, with former girlfriend Tamara Hood.
He shares daughters Bria, Shayne, 31, Zola, 26, and Bella, 24, and son Myles, 33, with then-wife Nicole Mitchell; Angel, 19, with ex Melanie “Mel B” Brown; and daughter Izzy, 9, and son Max, 7, with wife Paige Butcher.

When asked whether he's shared his own parenting wisdom with the new parents, he told E! News that's something that "you don't give advice" about.
“Oh, you don't give advice like that,” he explained. “You know, your kids don't go by your advice. Your kids go by the example you set. They watch you.”
“The stuff you be saying, they don't even pay that s— no mind,” continued the Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F star. “They watch and see what you do. So, I don't give a lot of advice.”
