Emilie Kiser is sharing the sweet sign she received from her late son Trigg.
In a May 4 TikTok Get Ready With Me video, the influencer chatted with her 5.2 million followers from her hotel room, breaking down the events of her girls' trip to New York City with her friend Brie McKinnon. Kiser shared that the pair had gone to see The Book of Mormon and enjoyed a yummy dinner the night before and were excited to get out into the city to explore some food places, like the popular Ralph Lauren-run coffee shop, Ralph's Coffee and Magnolia Bakery.
Kiser then explained that while wandering around the city yesterday, the pair took a "wrong route" along the way as they were mapping to a coffee shop.

"This was just kind of like a sweet moment and I told Brie, I was like, I kind of feel like maybe we took the wrong route for a reason," she said. The pair passed FAO Schwarz, a New York City toy store in Rockefeller Center.
Kiser then revealed that she had once taken a photo with her late son, Trigg, outside of FAO Schwarz.
"I just told Brady, I was like 'I feel like maybe maybe that was for a reason for us to pass here.' I wish I was back here with him. That was like seriously such a special trip. Brady and I say all the time that we want to come back to New York with Teddy and do like all the same things we did with Trigg because it really was like such a special trip."
Kiser then went on to share that, when the two had been getting on the subway, she saw "all these little colorful tiles that were a bunch of parrots flying" — another sign from Trigg, who used to have a favorite parrot stuffed animal to play with.

Trigg died in the hospital on May 18, 2025, six days after he fell in their backyard pool while Emilie was not home. Her husband, Brady Kiser, 29, was watching their younger son Teddy, now 1, when Trigg fell.
May also marks Water Safety Awareness Month, as Emilie explained in a recent TikTok post on April 30. She began by expressing her feeling that "there is no right or wrong way to talk about" what happened, but she feels it's crucial that she speaks out about the importance of the issue.
"This is a topic that I will continue to talk about when I feel comfortable, because it is so extremely hard to talk about, and I hope that people can understand that," she said. "Our son's death was very preventable. It was an accident, but it was a preventable accident. I will always take full accountability for that, because as a parent, it is your job to protect your child."
