Erin Andrews is opening up about her IVF journey.
In the Tuesday, April 14 episode of the Calm Down with Erin and Charissa podcast, the 47-year-old sports commentator and television personality opened up to her iHeartRadio cohost Charissa Thompson about wanting to grow her family.
The conversation began with the ladies discussing how they hadn’t talked in about a week, which was “the longest” time for them.

Andrews said her week had been very busy because her father had to go to the hospital and she skipped out on a CO2 laser because she “decided to try IVF again.”
“It didn't work,” she told Thompson, 43.
“Here's my whole thing,” Andrews continued. “I am crazy, and I am with a doctor that said, ‘Listen, we'll call it when it's time.' But I, like am psychotic right now. I just feel like I believe my body can do it.”
“Even though I know that my age is not, with what history says, it's not great with producing eggs and the viability of your eggs, there's just some s— in me that I'm like, wait, watch me do it,” she continued, referring to her determination as a “weird addiction.”
Thompson offered her reassurance, letting Andrews know that she has “love and respect” for her co-host and friend for always pushing forward to go for what she wants.
“You wouldn't have Mack if you didn't have that tenacity,” Thompson said of Andrews' son, whom she welcomed via surrogate in July 2023 with husband Jarret Stoll. “You wouldn't have Mack if you weren't the person — because by the way, there was plenty of roadblocks that got in the way of him, and you were like, ‘Nope I'm doing it.’ ”

Andrews was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016 and underwent a successful surgery.
The following year, she married the former Canadian ice hockey player, and had already frozen embryos with him at the time of her diagnosis. The pair began dating in 2012.
After a nine-year fertility journey, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Mack, via surrogate in July 2023.

Thompson told Andrews on Tuesday that when the time comes for her to not be able to try for another baby, “then I know you'll be at peace with it because you've tried everything.”
“But like I've told you before, you've already won. You have a beautiful baby boy and he's about to be 3 years old and he's incredible,” Thompson added. “I love your commitment to your family and wanting because most people would have given up a long time ago and that baby boy wouldn't have even been here.”
