A dog was freed after being trapped for 2 days in a narrow space between buildings.
Firefighters came to the rescue of the dog on May 17 in Nashville, who was trapped between "two structures," according to WZTV, which cited fire officials. The crews then had to coordinate with the owners of one of the properties to gain access and remove "concrete blocks" from the wall in order to create a pathway for the dog to exit the tight space, per the outlet.
The dog, who is gray with white patches, was stuck in the space for two days, according to News Channel 5 Nashville.
The dog was not injured in the squeeze, and has been taken under the care of Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC), per WZTV. It is unclear if the dog escaped from its owners or if it is a stray.

"Their teamwork, compassion, and problem‑solving turned what could have been a tragic outcome into a hopeful one," the Nashville Fire Department wrote of the rescue efforts for the pooch in a Facebook post.
"A big thank‑you to all personnel involved for their dedication and heart," the post continued. "This is the kind of service that reflects the very best of who we are as a department."
