Gal Gadot has yet to receive a coveted coconut cake from Tom Cruise.
On the Monday, Aug. 31 episode of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, the 41-year-old actress was asked about the Mission: Impossible movie star, 64, after she previously praised him for inspiring her to push herself for her upcoming action film, The Runner.
“Have you gotten a cake from him?” the CHiPs alum, 51, asked his guest.

The Wonder Woman star gently shook her head no, prompting Shepard to look over to his co-host Monica Padman and say, “Okay, maybe we shouldn’t have brought that up.”
“Never mind, there’s no cake,” the comedian continued.
Seemingly unfamiliar with the trend, Gadot replied, “What cake? He makes cakes?”
“He sends the same cake to everyone,” Shepard explained to Gadot.
“Not everyone!” Padman said as the three of them began to laugh.
Shepard added that Cruise tends to gift a coconut cake to “a large percentage” of the people he works with, but the Justice League star maintained that she and Cruise didn’t have a longstanding working relationship.
Stars from Kirsten Dunst to Angela Bassett and Glen Powell have all received the sweet treat from the Eyes Wide Shut actor.
“I worked with him for one night,” Gadot said with a smile, referring to the 2010 action-comedy film Knight and Day. “Tom, it’s fine! It’s okay, I can take it.”
“Tom, let’s get Gal the cake!” Shepard said while looking directly at the camera.
The Snow White star continued to assure Cruise that she didn’t need a coconut cake as Shepard and Padman hilariously talked over her. “Gal needs a cake. I need a cake,” Padman said.

Standing firm in the fact that she found the gesture unnecessary, Gadot added, “I don’t like cakes, it’s fine. I like chocolate.”
Still, Shepard didn’t let up on the topic, and instead told the Death on the Nile star the history of Cruise’s cakes, saying it’s “a fun thing in Hollywood, basically in your friendship circle the goal is to know someone who gets the cake and then go try it.”

“Which I got to do last year,” Shepard added. He also admitted he’s never been gifted one, but also noted that he and Cruise have never worked together.
The Runner sees Gadot as a high-powered London defense attorney whose life is turned upside down when her son is kidnapped while she was on a morning jog.
In an exclusive interview with Men’s Journal also published on Wednesday, Gadot told the outlet she channeled Cruise’s “energy” for the Prime Video drama.

After working so hard on the physical elements of the film, she ended the project on crutches.
“We worked around it, and we had to do some reshoots of the stuff that we missed,” she told the outlet. “You do what you do. When you do such a physical movie, you assume that at one point, something is gonna happen. So even though I channeled as hard as I could, Tom Cruise’s energy, at the end, my body just needed a break.”
The Runner premieres globally on Prime Video on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
