Hayden Christensen had a father-daughter night out!
The 45-year-old actor made a rare public appearance with his 11-year-old daughter, Briar Rose Christensen, at the opening night gala for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The Star Wars prequel trilogy star brought Briar Rose, whom he shares with ex Rachel Bilson, along to the star-studded opening night celebration for the new museum dedicated to visual storytelling, founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson.
The father-daughter duo smiled and held hands as they posed together at the gala’s step-and-repeat. They also leaned in close for another snap elsewhere at the event.

The Little Italy actor kept things casual at the event, wearing a gray T-shirt, navy blazer, distressed skinny jeans and tan dress shoes.
His daughter, meanwhile, wore a white dress with embroidered details and a pair of strappy ballet sneakers.
Another Star Wars alum, Mark Hamill, also attended the event with his wife, Marilou York, as did Harrison Ford and his wife, Calista Flockhart.
Beyond the stars of Lucas’s beloved science fiction franchise, the guest list for the museum gala also included Oprah Winfrey, Katy Perry, Steven Spielberg, Cynthia Erivo, Keke Palmer, Robert De Niro, Spike Lee, Lewis Hamilton, Kim Kardashian and more.
Hayden and Briar Rose’s joint appearance at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art — which is set to open on Tuesday, Sept. 22 — marked a rare outing for the pair.

While Hayden and Bilson, 45, have revealed a few of their daughter’s interests — such as Taylor Swift, cooking and wanting to act like her parents — they have been cautious about her privacy, including not posting photos of her face on social media.
Hayden last made an appearance with his daughter in August 2025, when he brought her to a Chicago Cubs game.
The actor threw the ceremonial first pitch at the ,game and during the 7th-inning stretch, he and Briar Rose serenaded the stadium by singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
Hayden and Bilson welcomed Briar Rose on Oct. 29, 2014, six years after meeting on the set of their 2008 sci-fi film Jumper.
They ended their relationship in 2017, and Bilson has since given glimpses into the former couple’s experience as co-parents to their daughter.

While appearing on the Let’s Be Honest with Kristen Cavallari podcast earlier this year, Bilson said co-parenting her daughter with ex Hayden is going “great.”
“Ours is like a unique version of it,” The O.C. alum continued. “We get along really well. We do a lot of stuff together.”
“We have been able to keep it very copacetic and nice,” Bilson added of her ex at the time.

Bilson has also spoken with PEOPLE about her co-parenting journey with Christensen over the years.
“Communication is key and just being on the same page, so everything’s about the kid,” Bilson told PEOPLE in 2021. “As long as you put the kid first, everything will be okay.”
“Everything’s good. Everything’s in a really good place,” she later shared in 2024, adding that her daughter “is so beautifully flourishing and has the support completely surrounding her from every side.”
