Brady's school photo from freshman year has resurfaced on social media

A high school photo of Tom Brady with a mop of hair and no smile has resurfaced and gone viral online
The resurfaced pic follows his runway debut at the Gucci Cruise 2027 show in Times Square
Brady retired from the NFL in 2022 after 23 seasons and now works as a lead NFL color commentator for Fox Sports
Just days after he took the runway for the Gucci Cruise 2027 collection fashion show, a throwback photo of Tom Brady has resurfaced online.
The retired NFL star, 48, made his catwalk debut during the Gucci show on Saturday, May 16 in New York City's Times Square, wearing a head-to-toe all-black leather look as he strutted down the runway.
But it was a far cry from freshman year of high school, when the then-unknown athlete posed for a school picture that's making the rounds on social media. In it, a young Brady poses without a smile, and with a tall mop of hair.

Wrote one commenter: "Cool hat." Added another: "Wow 🤩 he certainly aged well …. be nice to everyone in high school because sometimes time is not so kind to the ones that you had a crush on and the Geeks turn into Tom Brady🤗🤗🤗"
The photo was taken during Brady's time at Junípero Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif., which confirmed the authenticity of the photo to PEOPLE, and provided a handful of other photos from his time playing high school football.

It was a far cry from Brady's look on the runway, when he walked during the fashion event with other notable names, such as Paris Hilton and Emily Ratajkowski, as well as Cindy Crawford, who closed the show.
Brady announced his retirement from the NFL on February 1, 2022, after 23 seasons — 20 with the Patriots and three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — and has since served as the lead NFL color commentator for Fox Sports.
