Happy 38th birthday, Hilary Duff!
The “With Love” singer marked her 38th trip around the sun on Sunday, Sept. 28 and shared photos from her celebration on Instagram, reflecting on this time in her life for the post’s caption.
“This weekend I celebrated my birthday in the most perfect way. With my favorite people – my husband, my kids, and some of my closet friends,” wrote Duff alongside photos of herself, daughters Townes, 16 months, Banks, 6, and Mae, 4, as well as husband Matthew Koma and several friends.
The former child star (who’s also mom to son Luca, 13, shared with ex-husband Mike Comrie) then spoke about aging: “37 was a wonderful year but I’m kinda future trippin’ about my 38th year around the sun…”
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes,” continued Duff. “Seeing your love and excitement for whats next is not lost on me.”
The “Come Clean” artist’s reference to the “next” phase of her life seems to nod toward upcoming music, as she recently signed a deal with Atlantic Records and plans to release new material in the near future.
One of Duff’s latest Instagram photos includes a birthday cake printed with the phrase “You’re so mature,” which many fans are speculating could be a potential new lyric.
Koma, 38, shared a post in tribute to his wife on the actual day of her birthday featuring two photos of them — including one in a recording studio.
“Working on your album with you this year, on your terms, framed how it works for you, has been the f—— best and I can’t wait for the world to hear what it sounds like when you get to speak directly to your people without anything or anyone standing in the way,” he wrote.
The Winnetka Bowling League frontman continued, “This year’s going to be everything – high, low, overwhelming , scary, thrilling, exciting, full…and I have all the faith you’ll do it in only the way you can. I’ll be cheering front row (not actually cause Ticketmaster has this new queue system so probably more like row 6), but I’ll be there. I love you I love you I love you.”
