Nagalakshmi, a 41-year-old Indian influencer, was reportedly discovered in her home, slashed to death after a suspected murder-suicide by her husband, 51.
On April 28, Nagalakshmi and her husband Subramani's son entered their home in Nanganallur, India, after receiving a message from his father requesting he return, where he discovered both of his parents dead, reported local outlets The Hindu and Times of India. The outlets reported, citing police, that the son discovered his mother lying face down in a pool of blood from stab wounds and his father dead in another room.
The son contacted police, who arrived at the scene and ordered an autopsy, per The Hindu and Times of India. Police suspect that Subramani murdered his wife and then died by suicide, though they are also investigating a possible third person's involvement, as the door to their home was open when the son entered, the outlets reported.

Nagalakshmi, who had over 300,000 followers on Instagram, was known for promoting her online sari business. She seemingly last updated her account on April 27, the day before her reported death, posting a video advertising one of her services.

Per The Hindu and Times of India, Nagalakshmi was the sole breadwinner, and the couple frequently argued about personal finances.
