Fitness guru Sami Clarke has announced her split from husband, JT Barnett, about 11 months after their wedding last November.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, the Form co-founder, 31, took to her Instagram Stories to share a “life update” with her 602,000 followers. “My life is shifting and I’m moving into a new chapter apart from JT,” she began in her post.
“It’s truly hard to put into words how tough this feels, but I trust it’s the right step forward for me,” said Clarke. “I’ll forever be grateful for the love and memories we shared for these past eight years together. Thank you for giving us space and grace as we move through this new chapter.”

Barnett, 33, issued his own statement on his social media page. He opened the message by expressing his “hate that I have to post a personal PSA today.” The influencer clarified that he and Clarke “have not been together for a bit.”
He continued, “She chose to step away. I love her. There’s been no relational issues & no drifting apart.. just her own feeling & intuition that she needed to leave. I don’t agree with this & I didn’t want this.”
The Creator X founder went on to explain his perspective on their split, and he admitted that he felt reluctant to announce the news on their platforms.
“I know who I am, what I want, what I provided, and what we were. Our life has been fulfilling, happy & healthy. I don’t want to share this, and don’t want to talk about it, but because we’ve lived a public life I have to,” he wrote. “This is a tragedy, I miss the person I love, and this whole thing has been really [f——] sad.”
Clarke and Barnett tied the knot on Nov. 16, 2024; they shared photos of their California ceremony with a series of Instagram uploads. In a joint post shared the following day, they called the wedding “the best day of our lives” in their caption.
In April 2025, they announced that they bought their “first property” together in Austin.
The now-exes started dating in 2017, and Barnett — who is also a content creator, with over 420,000 followers between TikTok and Instagram — initially proposed to Clarke in 2021.
In 2023, however, the fitness trainer opened up to her fans and YouTube subscribers about feeling “insanely called to be alone,” and she broke off her engagement to Barnett. That July, Clarke posted a lengthy Instagram update to explain they were back together.
“Hurting someone you love feels so wrong and it is so so painful. He trusted me on this journey and told me he was proud of me for listening to myself,” she wrote of Barnett at the time, adding that she spent months building a “deeper relationship” with herself.
“It was like myself was calling me to build on the relationship with myself first, so then from this full version I could say yes to the partner of my dreams,” Clarke added of her time away from Barnett in 2023.
