Jason Kelce admittedly has his hands full as a new father of four.
Following a special Mother’s Day interview with Donna Kelce on the Wednesday, May 7, episode of “New Heights,” Jason, 37, was asked whether he has any plans to celebrate the holiday with wife Kylie Kelce.
“I’m happy we’re doing this episode because I forgot all about it,” Jason quipped. “As usual.”
After confirming with a producer that Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, Jason insisted that he still had “plenty of time” to find a gift and make plans. Travis Kelce agreed, adding, “You’ve got plenty of time to go to CVS at the last minute.”
Predicting how his conversation with Kylie, 32, might go down, Jason teased, “They were out of Mother’s Day cards, so I just got you a Father’s Day card and crossed out ‘father’ on all of them.” He then wondered, “Do they even make Father’s Day cards?”
While he may not have an elaborate celebration planned (yet), Jason expressed earlier in the episode that Mother’s Day holds a special meaning. “There’s nobody more important in this world than mothers,” he explained. “Nobody would be here without one.”
The siblings went on to ask Donna, 72, what Mother’s Day gift is the most valuable. “[Moms] want to be with their children,” she said. “Which doesn’t happen often when they’re older, but that’s basically it.”
As her interview came to an end, Donna also reminded “New Heights” fans to call their moms this weekend if they can’t spend Mother’s Day together.
Jason and Kylie will have even more to celebrate this Mother’s Day following the birth of their fourth daughter, Finn, in March. The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, also share daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Bennett, 2.
While Jason has fully embraced life as a girl dad, Kylie joked during a recent interview that there might come a time when he feels less thrilled about all the female energy in their house.
“Like, as soon as we’re all synced up [with our periods], I’m like, ‘You can move out, but you have to visit me,’” she joked on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast with host Amanda Hirsch last month, adding that she feels “bad” for what might occur in the future. “I know what our house was like when both my sister and I were, like, synced up and, like, yeah, God.”
Kylie also shared her theory as to why Jason, who grew up with “only a brother,” ended up without any sons.
“I think he has a very skewed idea of women, which is probably why he has four daughters,” she teased. “It’s why he was blessed with four daughters. The universe said: ‘He doesn’t get it. We need him to get it.’”
