Joey Graziadei and his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson, are not in a rush to walk down the aisle.
“Our thought process has always been, we wanted to enjoy the engagement,” Graziadei, 29, said on the Saturday, April 19, episode of Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd’s Cozy In The Closet series. “We didn’t want to rush anything because as you know The Bachelor is a very, very quick timeline and we’re gonna have a 2-3 year engagement to make sure that we are seeing everything through and learning as much about each other before we take that next step.”
Despite wanting to take things slow, Graziadei shared that he and Anderson, 27, met with a wedding planner the day before filming the interview.
“That’s the next big step that we are focusing on,” he said. “We’re starting to kind of nail down when we want to, you know, figure out a date, where we actually want to have our wedding and then we both said that we wanted to at least enjoy marriage a little bit before we have kids. Life changes, things always change up but we want to have kids, we want to start a family.”
Graziadei and Anderson met during The Bachelor season 28, where he popped the question to her in the 2024 season finale. Now, Graziadei admitted that he and Anderson have their “usual relationship problems as anyone does” — but added that he likes to “keep a lot of that” out of the public eye.
“People are always trying to dissect what’s going on with us and and you got to pick and choose what you show,” he said, while Anderson chimed in, “Also I feel like now, it’s just like whenever we bicker or anything it’s like very quick little things.”
While Graziadei explained that he and Anderson will “get under each other’s skin as any other couple does,” he said it’s short-lived.
“I think for the most part we’ve gotten to the point where we’re so confident that we’ve chosen each other that a lot of the stuff has just gotten easier,” he said. “That’s a really good feeling to know like, ‘I know she’s my person, I know she’s who I want to end and be with for the rest of my life.’”
He concluded, “So you have your little quirks, you have your things to deal with but we just, you know, we’re learning through it.”
