Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass gang are giving it one last go.
On Monday, April 27, Paramount Pictures released a trailer for Jackass: Best and Last, the fifth and final entry in Knoxville's long-running series of cult favorite comedy and stunt performance movies. The new movie, which Knoxville, 55, first announced in January, features a mixture of archival footage from the series' fan-favorite moments and new stunts, including the use of a two-legged robot for a prostate exam.
"Johnny Knoxville and the gang return for one final fling at the big screen," reads an official synopsis for the movie. "Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, jackass: best and last is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you’ve come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years. So, grab your dumb little buddies, raise your glasses, and come experience the cinematic event that promises to be the last time you’ll ever laugh this hard in a theatre."
The movie's cast features Knoxville alongside series regulars Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason Acuña and Dave England, along with Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Compston Wilson, Sean McInerney and Zach Holmes.

Best and Last is the first movie in the Jackass franchise since 2022's Jackass Forever, during which Knoxville famously suffered brain damage after he was rammed by a bull during a stunt. In a 2022 interview on The Howard Stern Show, the performer said that his doctors told him he “cannot take any more hits to the head” moving forward. Knoxville stated in a January interview that he was "way over my limit for concussions" and said while he was still game to perform stunts for the movie, he "just can't get hit in the head anymore."

Knoxville confirmed that Best and Last had completed filming when he took credit for an explosion that took place in Simi Valley, Calif., in an Instagram post he shared on April 18. In that post, Knoxville wrote that the film had pulled off "a monstrous explosion" in the area for a stunt featured in the movie. "26 years and that's a wrap!!😭❤️," he wrote in a caption.
Jackass began as a MTV reality series that premiered in 2000; Knoxville and series creators Bam Margera and Steve-O pivoted the series into feature films with 2002's Jackass: The Movie and took off from there.
