July’s Full Moon Brings a Few Surprises and 3 Zodiac Signs Will See Major Turns in Their Relationships

Though we’ve been able to feel the Buck Moon creeping in since July 26, this lunation fully arrives in Aquarius on July 29, bringing with it all the energy of the Air sign.

As the eleventh zodiac sign on the wheel, and as the polarity of Leo, Aquarius holds ties to passions, sense of expression, aspirations and how we connect to others, whether that is in love or friendship, celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas tells PEOPLE.

“As we’re officially in eclipse season, news from the lunar eclipse a month from now could actually be popping up quite early,” he adds.

A few planetary aspects are of note when it comes to this lunation, but Thomas notes that “overall” this should be a very happy lunation. “This is because the full moon will be directly opposite Jupiter, the planet of joy, luck and expansion. We will likely feel on top of the world and seek to reach our greatest heights.”

Everything from emotions to relationships to situations that develop now should be “quite optimistic,” says Thomas.

“Also, the full moon is tightly trine Uranus, the planetary ruler of this lunation, representing very positive surprises; evolution and changes are quite likely at this time,” he adds. We might find ourselves encouraged to step outside of our comfort zones, meet new people and expand our perceptions of our emotions and the world. The lunation is sextile Neptune, which could bring a spiritual, soft, dreamy energy to our lives—but with the full moon also conjunct Pluto, we could be in need of deep transformation—especially regarding our emotions and inner depths.

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Prepare to feel bliss in nearly every single way, Aries! Thomas says, “You are likely to feel practically euphoric! As the full moon arrives, it will ignite your social sector, likely surrounding you with many near and dear friends.” This is a fabulous time to throw a party, he adds, or attend a mixer or try building your social media network online. “Oh, and if you’re single, try meeting someone new through your acquaintances or update that dating profile,” he recommends.

Taurus (April 19-May 20)

Get ready to soar through the sky like a shooting star, Taurus. “Your brilliance, success and glory could literally light up the night,” says Thomas. There are major professional achievements or victories that could be right around the corner, whether that’s in the form of a promotion, favorable publicity, an award or a new job offer. He advises, “Use this period to highlight your ambitions and reach toward them now.”

Gemini (May 20-June 20)

Embrace your adventurous side, Gemini. The full moon will push you to explore horizons beyond your wildest dreams, says Thomas. “You have a deeply curious nature that will be activated at this time,” he adds. Using your enthusiasm to pursue long-distance travel or to consider new places to visit is a good idea right now. “If you’re involved in media, publishing, legalities or academics, a turning point is upon you,” she says.

Cancer (June 21-July 21)

Intimacy and how closely you trust another will be spotlighted at this time, Cancer. Thomas says that, “In fact, you could notice that you and someone you are attached to have to discuss some serious plans ahead. If you’re not happy, you may separate or be dealing with the final bits of a settlement.” If you are aligned, you could feel ready to merge closer—in body, mind and spirit. Assets and investments are also important near this time, so buy, sell or expect an important shift.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)

Partnership is the big focus at this time, Leo, says Thomas. “The full moon will energize you to be attracted more closely together like magnets—or split apart like a firecracker.” Happy connections will see union, commitment, an engagement or even marriage. Unhappy relationships may see the sudden revelation that it’s time to divorce or break up, instead. Singles should use this energy to set up dates with someone who possesses LTR-potential.

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

You’re often one of the busiest and most productive zodiac signs of all, Virgo, and this full moon will add even more to your plate. Thomas says that, right now, “You could be tidying up a big career or job-related project or even leaving one employer behind to begin with another.” If seeking a better work-life balance, be sure to assess it this week. Another great way to capitalize on this cosmic flow is to revamp your diet or fitness plan. Want a pet? The full moon may also offer one to you.

Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

Sagittarius (Nov. 22–Dec. 21)

Brilliance seems to come naturally to you, Sagittarius! “As the full moon arrives, you’ll be bursting at the seams to blast your ideas and thoughts to the world,” he shares. “You may be debuting a big communications-related project, such as a website revamp or updating your portfolio.” This lunation may also bring a contract for you to assess and sign. Pisces (Feb. 18-March 20)

This lunation could have you feeling a bit overworked and burnt out, but is giving you the chance to recharge your batteries. Pay attention to your dreams and any hunches that come through.
