Suri Noelle is making her stage debut!
The 20-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is starring in Midsummer!, an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Suri will be playing Helena, Mustardseed, Flute and Thisbe in the show, which runs from Aug. 6 to 19.
Ahead of the show’s opening, Suri was photographed in costume on Aug. 5 as she entered a room. Suri could be seen wearing a long purple skirt and a yellow dress shirt with a purple vest over it, donning a pillbox hat.

Back in July, news broke that Suri had filed to legally drop her dad’s last name from her name. The college student changed her last name to Noelle from Cruise, according to the voter registration records obtained by PEOPLE. Page Six was first to report the news.
Suri currently attends Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and registered to vote in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania during her freshman year in October 2024. Her registration reads Suri Noelle. Noelle is also Holmes’ middle name.
Months before Suri registered to vote as Suri Noelle, she used the name for her high school graduation in June 2024. That same weekend, Cruise was seen attending Taylor Swift’s Eras tour at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Although Suri often stays out of the spotlight, she was seen in August 2025 visiting her mom on set while she filmed Happy Hours with Dawson’s Creek costar Joshua Jackson. The mother-daughter duo was photographed walking down the street in New York City, talking before Holmes began filming.
Suri wore a white tank top and baggy cargo pants, accessorizing with red shoes. Holmes was dressed in a multi-colored robe and messy bun, getting ready to begin work for the day.
In August 2024, Holmes made rare comments about her daughter while speaking to Town & Country. The proud mom, who was gearing up for her daughter to head to college that fall, told the outlet, “I’m proud of my daughter. Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.”
“I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that,” Holmes added.
