Layla Taylor is reflecting on healing from her eating disorder.

Following her appearance at Miami Swim Week last weekend, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star posted an Instagram Reel compiling two videos recorded one year apart, both of which showed Taylor walking on runways in bikinis. In overlaying text, she quoted a notion that the video disproves, about how someone who has an eating disorder isn't the right fit for modeling.

In the caption of her recent Instagram Reel shared on Monday, June 1, after Swim Week concluded, the reality star reflected on the meaning of her accomplishments.

"Little Layla that has dreamed of this since before she could remember would be so proud of how far I've come in a year," Taylor wrote. "Healing from my ED has been so hard yet so incredibly rewarding."

Referring to the two videos shown in the Reel, she continued, "One year apart and adding 20 lbs from the first clip to now. Don't let anyone tell you your struggles prevent you from chasing your dreams."

Taylor opened up about her body image issues on the most recent installment of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The season 4 finale saw Taylor recount a particular moment of struggle where she found out she was rejected from a modeling agency. She told her fellow MomTokers that she worried the rejection meant that there was "something wrong" with her.

"The last couple days I've been struggling so hard with confidence," she told her friends in the episode. "It stems back to me never feeling like I'm enough."

In a confessional, Taylor further opened up about the roots of her eating disorder. She explained that she had anorexia, but becoming pregnant with both of her kids helped her heal "for a little bit." However, when she and her ex separated, she spiraled back into her previous unhealthy habits.

Days after the season 4 premiere, Taylor addressed her history of disordered eating in a candid Instagram post. On March 15, she admitted that she had been using GLP-1 medications. Though she said she stopped taking the drugs, she said she was still in eating disorder treatment.

"Far before I touched [GLP-1 medications] I've had my struggles. It's been lonely and exhausting, fighting a battle in my own brain while trying to show up like everything is okay and receive comments daily on my body. Recovery has been messy and far from linear. Some days feel strong, and others feel really heavy," she wrote in the caption.

"I'm still learning how to choose self-love over self-criticism," she wrote. "But I'm still fighting — not just for me, but because my boys deserve a healthy, present mom."
