In February 2023, Styles and Capaldi shared a kiss after Styles won four BRIT Awards, including Song of the Year. The affectionate moment was captured in an Instagram video by British radio DJ Greg James that shows Styles walking off stage after accepting his award and pointing at Capaldi.

Capaldi points back and the pair begin to walk towards one another before Capaldi grabs Styles' face and kisses him. "I just kissed Harry Styles on the lips. I'm fully erect," Capaldi joked as he sat down.

The two were both up for Song of the Year with Capaldi being nominated for his song, “Forget Me,” and Styles ultimately winning for “As It Was.”

“I don't know what it was, I was hammered,” Capaldi said. “But he said to me, ‘This feels like a you up text.' I could've sent him an unsolicited picture of my … phone.”

“I mean, he didn't say no. He seemed quite agreeable to the proposition,” he continued.
