Maria Bartiromo is speaking out a week after Fox News Media announced the company had cut ties with the longtime anchor.
On Thursday, Sept. 10, a day before her 59th birthday on Sept. 11, Bartiromo shared a post on X, thanking fans and loved ones for their support.
The journalist posted a photo of a rainbow breaking through some clouds, alongside the message, “Thank you to all friends & followers for your amazing words I am so grateful for the outpouring of love on SM [social media] & texts.”
“I love you all. here’s a great shot of the 🌈 breaking through, I snapped the other day. More to come,” Bartiromo added.

The post came a week after Fox News Media announced on Sept. 3 that the company had parted ways with the longtime anchor, who spent more than 12 years at the network.
A day later, Bartiromo’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, claimed in a statement to PEOPLE that reports that she was fired or was no longer an employee of Fox were false.
“For many years, Maria Bartiromo hosted three number-one-rated television shows on Fox channels. She has been, without question, one of the hardest-working journalists throughout her award-winning career,” the statement read.
Freedman added, “The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false. Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise.”
“Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth,” the lawyer insisted.

The network had said in its Sept. 3 statement, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”
The company’s press release shared that day stated that the network had parted ways with Bartiromo and that the change was “effective today.” A reason for the exit was not given, PEOPLE previously reported.

The journalist — who hosted Mornings with Maria — first made a name for herself on CNBC as host of Closing Bell and On the Money with Maria Bartiromo, before joining Fox in 2014 as Fox Business Network’s global markets editor.
During her tenure, she interviewed Donald Trump several times and co-moderated two debates during the 2016 presidential cycle.

Bartiromo — whose former show transitioned to Mornings with Fox Business on Sept. 4, while Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street has been renamed FBN’s Wall Street — last appeared on Fox Business Network on Aug. 7 and Fox News on Aug. 9.
After Bartiromo’s departure was reported, Trump shared a message on Truth Social, calling the journalist “a true warrior.”
“I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business,” Trump wrote. “Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior.”
“Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” the president concluded.
