Matt and Abby Howard have welcomed baby number three!
The couple announced the birth of their third son in a joint Instagram post on Monday, Aug. 17. “He’s here!!!!” the caption began. “We have been soaking up every bit of this beautiful new chapter as a family of 5. can’t wait to slowly catch you all up on the past week of our life ❤️”
In the photo, Abby, 27, grins as she snuggles the little one in a hospital bed after giving birth, while the baby’s face is obscured with a heart emoji. The pair are also parents to sons Griffin, 4, and August, 3. The couple have not yet revealed the name of their newborn son.
In a recent TikTok video about celebrating her father’s birthday by surprising him with a performance from magician Stephen Bargatze, she shared that her due date for the baby was Aug. 11—which is also her father’s birthday.
It is unclear yet if the baby was born on her exact due date, but Abby hinted that her son and father just might share a birthday after all, writing in the caption: “P.S. I meant to post this yesterday to wish him a happy birthday, but I was a little busy working on his greatest birthday present yet…”

The baby’s birth comes nearly a year after Abby experienced pregnancy loss at 17 weeks with a baby girl in September 2025. In a previous Instagram post, the couple shared that they were at a “routine pregnancy appointment” when the doctor was unable to find a heartbeat. They later found out their baby, whom they named Emerson Nicole, had a “genetic condition that took her life.”
“The news felt unimaginable,” the couple wrote alongside a photo of them holding hands. “The grief is absolutely devastating. But we feel so much gratitude for the time that we did get to have with her. And we still have hope. Hope has continued to show up for us in so many ways.”

Six months after experiencing the pregnancy loss, the couple announced Abby was pregnant again in a March 24 Instagram post.
“baby #4 🌈. grateful beyond measure,” the pair captioned their post, which featured a snap of the couple sharing a kiss and holding up a set of sonogram photos. A month later in April, the influencers confirmed they were expecting another boy.
