A new group of celebrities are getting ready to head to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
The reality competition dance show is returning for its 35th season in the fall of 2026, with a fresh slate of stars taking their chance at winning the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
On May 13, host Julianne Hough told Entertainment Tonight that she's "been getting a lot of people sliding into her DMs" wanting to join the cast as the show has gotten "hotter."
While the full cast, including pros and celebrities, won't be revealed until a September 2026 Good Morning America broadcast, several stars have already been announced.
The first cast members — two women who are no strangers to the reality TV world — were announced in April 2026. A few weeks later, a baseball player-turned-influencer joined the cast on May 12.

Ciara Miller was among the first pair of celebrities to be announced as part of the season 35 cast.
Miller is most known for her time on Bravo's Summer House and also competed on season 3 of Peacock's The Traitors.
In April 2026, the TV personality spoke to PEOPLE about preparing for the dance competition, saying she is going to "more yoga classes, more Pilates classes."
“I might start running again because I need to get my stamina up and have some type of endurance," she said. "I'm gonna get in the gym."
As for which pro she wants to be paired up with in the ballroom, Miller told E! News in May 2026 that she has been "campaigning for Val [Chmerkovskiy]."

Maura Higgins was announced as part of the season 35 cast alongside Miller.
The Irish television personality and model gained fame as a finalist on Love Island in 2019, going on to host its spinoff series, Love Island USA: Aftersun, for several years. She has appeared on other reality TV shows, including Dancing on Ice, Cooking with the Stars and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.
Most recently, Higgins was the runner-up on The Traitors season 4, which she appeared on alongside Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas.
Ahead of her time in the ballroom, Higgins spoke to Good Morning America in April 2026 about "manifesting" being on the show — and being ready to "give it [her] all."
"I'm just so, so happy. I can't wait to get really fit and wear all the sexy costumes," she said. "I just want to start now."
The Love island alum also shared that she's already pushing for her former The Traitors castmate to be her partner on Dancing with the Stars. "It would be the cherry on top of the cake if I get Mark and we win the Mirrorball Trophy," she said.

Jackson Olson was the third cast member to be announced for Dancing with the Stars season 35. His casting news came during the Disney Upfronts presentation on May 12.
Olson is a second baseman for the Savannah Bananas — the independent Georgia-based baseball team — and an influencer.
The athlete's girlfriend Maggie Sajak — who is the daughter of former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak — celebrated his casting news on her Instagram Stories, writing, "beyond proud of you @jacksonolson_…the dance floor better get ready."
One day after his casting was announced, Olson appeared on Good Morning America and talked about his passion for dance and desire to join the show.
"When I was a kid, I never thought any of this was possible," he said. "I was a shy kid that never danced, never put myself out there, never entertained, and found a passion for it."
Olson went on to say that he "kind of manifested" his casting, referencing a series of TikToks he previously posted about joining the show.
