Meet the Kids of the “Dutton Ranch” Cast (Including One Who Has Acted with Both of Her Parents!)

Cole Hauser, Annette Bening and Ed Harris are among the 'Dutton Ranch' actors who are parents

The Dutton family is back in the latest Yellowstone spinoff Dutton Ranch, and in real life, several of the Paramount+ stars have families of their own.

Dutton Ranch follows John Dutton’s only daughter, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), and right-hand man Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they navigate married life on a new South Texas ranch of their own with their adopted son, Carter (Finn Little).

Like in the past, drama follows the pair wherever they go. Beth and Rip quickly find themselves in conflict with nearby rancher Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), who is just as committed to protecting her family’s legacy as the Duttons are.

Hauser is also devoted to his family, which includes his wife Cynthia Daniel and their three kids. The Good Will Hunting star described acting and fatherhood as “two of [his] biggest passions” in a July 2020 interview with The Havok Journal.

“I am not the kind of guy who forgets about them,” he added. “I am always making time for each and every one of my children and also my wife, also, as a family together.”

Cole Hauser’s 3 Kids

Hauser plays the rough but loyal Rip on Yellowstone and Dutton Ranch, who becomes a father figure to Finn. In real life, Hauser has three kids of his own.

The Dazed and Confused star began dating his wife, Daniel, in the 1990s, and they went on to welcome son Ryland in 2004, son Colt in 2008 and daughter Steely in 2012.

Hauser spent months at a time away from his family while filming Yellowstone amid the COVID-19 pandemic, giving him a new appreciation for his kids.

"It's not easy to parent from afar,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “Steely is an absolute pistol, and they're great boys. When I'm away they kind of take over, making sure that mom and Steely are watched over. That's how I raised them and I'm proud of them for that."

Annette Bening's 4 Kids

Bening plays the tough rancher Beulah in Dutton Ranch, but off-screen, she’s a dedicated mother to her four kids — Stephen, Benjamin, Isabel and Ella — with her longtime husband Warren Beatty.

Bening and Beatty welcomed Stephen only one month after the premiere of their first film together, Bugsy, in 1992. Son Benjamin was born in 1994, followed by Isabel in 1997 and Ella in 2000.

Family has always been top priority for Bening, who took a break from show business to focus on her children when they were young, and she later brought them to set when they were older.

“They get a chance to see the world in a way that you don’t if you’re just a tourist,” she told PEOPLE in 2004 of having them come along with her to film Julia in London and Budapest.

Now, the kids are grown up, with at least two of them pursuing careers in the entertainment industry: Ella went to Juilliard and appeared in the film Feud: Capote vs. The Swans and in Appropriate on Broadway while Benjamin acted in films Hail, Caesar! and UFO.

Ed Harris’ 1 Daughter

Ed Harris, who stars as Everett McKinney in Dutton Ranch, has been married to Amy Madigan since 1983, shortly after they met on the set of Places in the Heart. Together, they welcomed daughter Lily Dolores Harris in 1993.

Lily took inspiration from her parents and became an actress, graduating from San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater’s MFA program in 2020.

Since then, she’s appeared on Chicago Med, Skillhouse and a short film called Salty, among others, according to her official website. In 2024, she had the opportunity to work on a short called Off the Horse with both of her parents.

Jai Courtney’s 1 Daughter

Jai Courtney portrays Rob-Will on Dutton Ranch, and away from the cameras, he is a dad to his one daughter.

While the Suicide Squad actor keeps his family life relatively private, he opened up about leaving Los Angeles for a quieter life in upstate New York.

“I was going through a few transitions in my personal life and needed a gear shift. So, we took a swing and just decided to go somewhere wildly different,” he told Variety in May 2025. “I haven’t looked back.”

His daughter has also served as inspiration for some of his more recent roles, including Bryan in the 2024 film Runt.

“It was a real pleasure to be someone who’s become a dad recently myself, and just to really sink into that sort of paternal energy — it was just what I needed,” he told The West Australian at the time.

“[Family is] the only family that matters,” he added. “And, at the end of the day, you know, if the wheels fall off, no one’s gonna take that away from you.”
