Meet the Kids of the Ghosts Cast (Including the Daughter Who’s Obsessed with the Show!)

In the world of Ghosts, found family means everything.

The CBS comedy, which returned for season 5 on Oct. 16, follows Sam and Jay (Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar), a married couple who move from New York City to upstate’s Woodstone Manor, a property Sam suddenly inherits. Naturally, they find out it’s full of some not-so-spooky spirits, including the Viking Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long), lounge singer Alberta Haynes (Danielle Pinnock), hippie Susan “Flower” Montero (Sheila Carrasco) and youth group leader Pete (Richie Moriarty).

While Sam and Jay don’t have children in the show, both actors are parents off-screen. McIver welcomed her first child, a daughter named Chloe, with her husband George Byrne in 2024, which meant she was expecting during the filming of Ghosts season 3.

However, her pregnancy wasn’t written into the plot of the show, with co-showrunner Joe Wiseman telling TV Insider in February 2024, “Currently, Jay and Sam aren’t going to have kids.”

Meanwhile, Utkarsh is also a father of three. He shares daughters Tiare and Leka and son Bhumi with his wife, Naomi Ambudkar.

Here’s everything to know about the kids of the Ghosts cast.

Rose McIver’s daughter

McIver, who plays Ghosts‘ leading lady, Sam Arondekar, debuted her baby bump at the 2024 Golden Globes.

McIver and Byrne went on to welcome their first child together during the summer of 2024. Byrne later confirmed their daughter was named Chloe during an interview with Installation Magazine.

Since becoming parents, McIver and Byrne have remained private about their family, choosing not to share photos of their daughter on social media.

However, McIver has drawn similarities between motherhood and her character on the series, explaining to The Daily Beast in October 2024, “It’s obviously very different in many ways, but Sam doesn’t get to switch off, and as a new mum, I don’t either. That’s been an interesting little parallel to draw this year.”

After McIver gave birth to her daughter, she returned back to the Ghosts set 11 weeks later to film season 4 of the series.

“It was early. It’s my first child, so I’m learning a lot,” she told the outlet. “But everybody’s been great and incredibly supportive and wonderful.”

Utkarsh Ambudkar’s 3 children

Utkarsh portrays Sam’s husband, Jay Arondekar, on Ghosts. But in real life, the actor and his wife, Naomi, are parents to three children: Tiare, Bhumi and Leka.

The couple, who got married in September 2019, welcomed their older daughter, Tiare, March 7, 2015. They went on to welcome their second child together, son Bhumi, on April 12, 2020. The couple then welcomed their younger daughter, Leka Lesina Indu, in June 2023.

Tiare is already interested in her father’s work. In December 2020, Utkarsh spoke to CinemaBlend about sharing his film Godmothered with his daughter.

“I have a daughter, and most of the stuff we don’t let her watch because she doesn’t need Prince Charming, my daughter is dope the way she is. And so I’m excited for her to watch Godmothered,” he said. “She’s smart and observant and she’s taking a lot in and at that age we want to educate and inspire so that’s what we’re trying to do.”

Tiare later appeared on a September 2024 episode of Yo Gabba Gabba! alongside Utkarsh for story time.

She’s even a big fan of Ghosts. Utkarsh told Vulture in September 2025, “It’s actually the one show that my 10-year-old and wife make everyone in the family watch together, too, which is a little embarrassing. Like, it has to be the one I’m on?”

Richie Moriarty’s 2 children

Richie portrays one of the show’s spirits, Pete, on Ghosts. Off-screen, the actor and his wife, Ciara Moriarty, are parents to two children: a son named Devlin and a daughter. They welcomed their son in 2018 and their daughter in June 2021.

After living in Brooklyn together, Richie and Ciara moved to New Jersey, per NJ.com, where they are raising their two children. The actor previously spoke to Edge Magazine about moving his family, explaining, “Right around when he started crawling and getting mobile, we were like, ‘Oh, we can’t do this in our tiny one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.’ “

During the interview, Richie opened up about filming a Ghosts scene in which his character finds out he has a grandchild — just weeks after the actor himself welcomed his daughter.

“Of course, everyone is very raw emotionally when they have a newborn. You’re low on sleep and you’re falling in love with this brand-new human,” he said. “That made it very easy for me to tap into the emotion of what that would mean to see your adult daughter for the first time and then get the news that you have a grandson, and that your legacy and your family is living on.”

In a sweet moment Richie shared on social media in September 2022, he showed Devlin taking an archery lesson, a nod to his character in Ghosts. Both of his children also visited the show’s set in December 2024 during filming for season 4.

Devan Chandler Long’s 2 children

Long portrays the mansion’s resident Viking, Thorfinn, on Ghosts. Long’s son has a similarly epic name: The actor and his wife, Jesse Golden, are parents to a son named Beøwulf, whom they welcomed on April 14, 2024.

“On the evening of 4/14/24 my life changed in an instant, I suddenly gained a deep passion for riding lawn mowers, firm handshakes and Costco fashion section denim… in other possibly related news my boy Beøwulf was born,” Long posted on Instagram alongside a photo of his newborn’s feet. “These are his paws…”

Long also has a stepson, Kaleo, who Golden welcomed from a previous relationship. The actor celebrated his stepson’s 21st birthday in May 2025, sharing a photo of the duo leaning against a car.

“Big 21 for the handsome fella on the left, which means we shall feast and commence libation oriented rejoicing in honor of this triumphant name day!” he wrote.

Long and Golden celebrated Beøwulf’s birthday in April 2025 with a gold-themed party, with the family of four posing for a photo together.

Sheila Carrasco’s 1 child

Carrasco, who plays the ever-so-forgetful Flower on Ghosts, shares a daughter, Mirentxu Palmer, with her husband, Josh Stamell.

Mirentxu was born on Nov. 28, 2023. On Instagram, she said the moment was “pretty indescribable,” adding, “Little Miri is the love of our life.”

Three months into motherhood, Carrasco reflected on life with Mirentxu, writing on Instagram, “She is lit from within and smiling, chatting up a storm, sitting upright, teething, and loving her books!”

“Her laughter is the greatest sound in the universe and her tears make me wanna move mountains,” she added. “Josh is Dadding above and beyond, and the two of them are thick as thieves. Best and hardest 3 months of my life so far, and it’s only just begun. I can’t wait for more.”

Mirentxu has already visited her mom on set, with Carrasco sharing a photo of her daughter alongside Long while they filmed season 4 of the series.
