American Idol opened the Taylor Swift songbook on the latest episode.

On April 27, season 24 of the iconic singing competition series held its first night dedicated to the hits of the "Opalite" singer. The remaining contestants treated audiences to two performances. In addition to numbers by Swift, they also performed songs "from California’s biggest artists."

Following the eliminations of Kyndal Inskeep and Lucas Leon on the April 20 episode, there were seven contestants left vying to be crowned the latest winner of American Idol.

On the April 27 episode, there was another double elimination as Brooks Rosser and Daniel Stallworth didn't make it through to the following week.

American Idol's first-ever Taylor Swift Night was a special occasion, and next week will also be an event. Original judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul are returning to mentor the top five, and Abdul will be a guest judge. The episode will also be a reunion for contestants from the 2006 season of American Idol, and pros from Dancing With the Stars will also make an appearance.

Chris Tungseth performed "Exile" from Swift's album, Folklore, and Billie Eilish's Oscar-winning hit "What Was I Made For?" from Barbie.

For her Taylor Swift selection, Hannah Harper sang "Mean" from Speak Now, and for her California song, she performed "That's the Way Love Goes" by Merle Haggard.

Jordan McCullough picked "Tim McGraw" for his Swift selection, and he brought the heartbreak to the stage with Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" for his California song.

Brooks Rosser sang "Love Story" for his Swift song, and "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 for his California pick.

However, he was eliminated at the end of the episode.

"Top 7… this still doesn’t feel real. Thank you for every single vote last night ," he posted on Instagram the week prior, after he made it through to Taylor Swift Night.

Daniel Stallworth was "Fearless" with his Swift song, and for his California number, he sang "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar feat. H.E.R.

Like Rosser, Stallworth was also eliminated during the April 27 episode.
