Meghan Markle is celebrating Prince Harry’s 42nd birthday.
To mark the Duke of Sussex’s milestone on Tuesday, Sept. 15, his wife shared a birthday tribute on her personal Instagram page.
Meghan, 45, posted multiple family photos to mark the occasion, including a sweet snap of Harry kissing their daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, as well as multiple other images that appeared to be taken in the English countryside.
The clip opened with a black-and-white shot of Harry, with the montage also featuring a photo of the Duke with the couple’s 7-year-old son, Prince Archie, appearing to set up a game of archery balloons.
The video also included the Sussex’s Labrador retriever, Pula, and a photo of Harry skiing with Lilibet, as well as photos of them on a golf cart and a video of them driving through greenery.
A further cute black-and-white shot showed Harry and Meghan kissing in a vineyard, while The Hound + The Fox’s cover of “Simply the Best” played in the background of the post.
Meghan captioned the montage, “He’s simply the best,” adding, “Happy birthday, my love ❤️”
After relaunching her Instagram account in early 2025, Meghan has used the page to celebrate milestones like birthdays (including for their two children, Archie and Lilibet), holidays and anniversaries.

Meghan marked her husband’s 41st birthday last year by sharing a photo of Harry from his 31st birthday a decade ago when he visited Goodwood Aerodrome, an outing to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. She cheekily captioned the post, “Oh hi, Birthday Boy 🔥.”
Meghan’s birthday tribute to Harry came just weeks after the family moved back to England. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from their royal roles in 2020, they relocated to her home state of California, where they’ve lived for six years. The couple is retaining their home in Montecito, as well as their vacation property in Portugal, amid the move back to the U.K., which is said to be for an extended period.
Over the weekend, Meghan shared the first glimpses of her family’s latest chapter in England. A video shared on Instagram showed Meghan, Harry, Archie and Lilibet spending time outdoors, captioned with two emojis: a Union Jack flag and a red heart.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet started at a new school in Britain last week, marking the first time that they have attended class in the U.K.
For the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the early days of their return to the U.K. have centered firmly on family.
Settling the children “has been, and remains, their focus. Everything else will fall into place when the time is right,” a source close to Harry and Meghan recently told PEOPLE.
“There is a lot to do. They have just moved halfway across the world, and it’s been really busy getting the kids settled,” the source adds. “Their focus has been on that, and will remain on that, for the time being. They are happy to be back.”
A source close to Prince Harry previously told PEOPLE that returning to Britain was something he had been “thinking about for a while,” while another source says the Duke of Sussex wants his children “to understand the world he grew up in and where their family comes from.”

For California-native Meghan, part of the appeal is that Archie and Lili can understand both of their parents’ childhoods.
“Meghan feels very fortunate that they’re able to give Archie and Lilibet the opportunity to experience both worlds,” a Montecito insider told PEOPLE.
