Meghan Trainor has canceled her summer tour three months after the birth of her daughter, Mikey Moon.

In an Instagram Stories post on Thursday, April 16, the “Still Don’t Care” singer, 32, announced that her Get In Girl Tour, which was set to kick off in Clarkston, Mich., on June 12, has been canceled “after a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations.”

“Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time,” she wrote of her decision.

The Grammy winner was scheduled to visit over 30 arenas and amphitheaters across North America. The tour was set to conclude on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles.

Trainor welcomed her baby girl via surrogate on Jan. 18. She and husband Daryl Sabara are also parents to sons Riley, 5, and Barry, 2. Her seventh studio album, Toy with Me, is set to be released on Friday, April 24.

“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” continued Trainor. “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now.”

The performer ended her post by writing, “I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”

Trainor previously gave PEOPLE an inside look at the preparation for her tour, sharing last November, “I’m going to do dance lessons. I’m going to be very fit.”

Speaking about what fans could expect, she said at the time, “We’re going to be jumping, dancing. It’s going to be a party, but it’s a party for everyone, for kids, for adults, for grandparents. I love when I see grandparents in the crowd. I love when the dads sing every word. I go, ‘Yeah, Dad.’ It’s my favorite.”

Following the birth of her daughter, Trainor told PEOPLE that she felt “surreal” and that it was something she had “dreamt about for so long.”
