Melissa Gorga can’t wait for fans to see the return of Real Housewives of New Jersey.
After a two-year hiatus, RHONJ will return for its 15th season, starring housewives Gorga, Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania. Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th premiere in New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 4, Gorga, 47, teases fans about what they can expect to see in the upcoming season.
“We wrapped it with a bang,” she says. “I had so much fun this season. The cast is so funny. I feel like there was a lot of stress, so you got to see our real personalities. It reminded me back in the beginning seasons, too, when we would just have a lot of fun and be goofy.”

The Bravo series has been on pause for almost two years after the season 14 reunion was canceled in June 2024 due to longstanding rifts among the show’s cast, which included Gorga, Giudice, Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler.
“A reunion is meant to have resolution and it’s clear in the season finale that there is no path forward in that type of setting,” an insider familiar with the situation told PEOPLE at the time. “So the network is figuring out a different concept to wrap up the season.”
Since then, Andy Cohen has been open about his desire to make changes in the next season of RHONJ. Hours before RHONJ season 15 was announced in March 2026, Josephs confirmed her exit after seven seasons in a video shared to Instagram.

Back in November, during BravoCon, Giudice, 54, told PEOPLE that she mended her relationship with her brother Joe Gorga and Melissa after their decade-long feud. “I reached out to him and at first, we were gonna meet — the four of us,” Giudice says, referring to herself, her husband, Luis Ruelas, Joe and Melissa. “But then I was thinking about it, and I was like, you know, I wanted to talk to my brother first.”
“I wanted him to really see me, and I wanted him to feel it from me, and vice versa, I wanted to feel it from him. So I felt like the two of us should meet first,” she explained. “The two of us should meet first, and then the four of us, and that’s what we did.”
“After that, we met with Luis and Melissa, and I mean, it was really beautiful, it really was,” Giudice continued. “We talked about certain things, apologized, and that was it, moved forward, yeah, and I’m happy.”
On the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in February, Melissa said that she’s eager to maintain her mended relationship with Giudice. “I think it needs to last. And if it doesn’t, then shame on all of us if we can’t pull this through. Life’s too short,” she said.

“Obviously, Teresa and I are getting along, which just makes everything so much better, and it makes it feel safe,” Gorga tells PEOPLE.
The reality star went on to say that she and Giudice, her sister-in-law, “appreciate all the support” from fans, despite some doubting the sincerity of their reconciliation.
Giudice notes that the new season is going to “be off the charts.” She continues, “I can’t wait to see what everyone else thinks of it. I think it was amazing, so I can’t wait to see.”
“I love all the newbies,” the reality star says of the new cast members who joined RHONJ this season.
