A Canadian couple is going viral on social media for a husband’s wholesome reaction to his toddler son showing his dad his fresh manicure.
Siera Bearchell Wray, 33, speaks exclusively to PEOPLE about racking up just over a million views in roughly a month on TikTok after she posted a video of her 3-year-old son, Iver, surprising his father, Brennen Wray, with bright orange nails following a visit to the salon with his mom.
“And that's why I married him 💞🫶🏼 I was at the salon with my son by my side and he asked if he could ‘pick a colour.’ The ladies at the salon and I said, 'absolutely!' He was SO excited to show his dad 🥹,” she captioned the May 8 upload.

The video begins with Siera sitting in a parked car, recording Iver as he stands in the passenger seat, anxious to see his father walk up to their vehicle.
As Brennen gets closer, the eager toddler holds up his hands to reveal a fun, new look.
“See?” Iver says.
“No way!” Brennen says, adding, “And they did them your favorite color!”
Brennen tells his son the manicure is “so exciting,” and Iver shakes his head “yes” after his father asks if he loves his new nails.
“This shouldn't be a big deal but it feels like a big deal to have a husband who is so happy and excited about whatever makes his kids happy 💞🫶🏼,” Siera captioned the rest of the video.
The parents, who are from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and also have a 7-year-old daughter, always try to encourage and lead by example when it comes to their kids.
“We always want our kids to know we love and accept them,” she says.
“We not only encourage them to be confidently themselves, but we also demonstrate this through our words and actions with our treatment of others. Even simple things like holding the door, passing on compliments, and treating everyone with respect are things we demonstrate rather than just ‘teach’ them,” Siera continues. “As well, we recognize how important it is to speak positively about ourselves and be a positive example of individuals with confidence and self-worth.”

When it comes to her video going viral, Siera says, “I didn't expect the video to have that reach, but I am happy that so many comments were kind.”
“He’s sooo excited to show dad OMG😭😭💜💜 how sweet,” one person wrote. Another added, “My boys used to get red with lightning bolts so they could be fast like lightning McQueen.”

One person even joked that since having his first pedicure, her son now expects them weekly.
Still, all of the responses were not positive.
“That said, some are incredibly rude and ignorant- but that's to be expected with any ‘viral’ video. At the end of the day, I always remember that kind and happy people don't spread negativity online,” Siera tells PEOPLE.
