Nash Grier’s mother-in-law, Nikki Giavasis, has been found safe a day after she was reported missing, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., police told PEOPLE on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Police said she was reported missing on Tuesday, Aug. 19.
In an Instagram post shared earlier on Wednesday, Grier’s wife, Taylor Giavasis, shared a photo of her mother, along with details about her to assist authorities in their search, on Instagram. Taylor later deleted the post.
“🚨 MISSING PERSON 🚨,” the caption began. Nikki is described as standing at 5’3, with tattoos of “angel wings with the names Mal and Noa on arm.”
According to the Instagram post, she was last seen on Monday, Aug. 18, at 321 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was reported missing on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and was found a day later.
“Nikki’s family is urgently seeking any information regarding her whereabouts. If you have seen Nikki or know anything about her location, please contact 911 immediately or call the Fort Lauderdale Police Department at (954) 828-5700,” the caption concluded.
Grier, 27, has yet to comment on his mother-in-law’s disappearance. However, Taylor shared some details with TMZ, telling the outlet that her mother was last seen at a Fort Lauderdale hotel and told her over the phone she was heading to an AirBnB. Nikki never arrived and her phone was later shut off, Taylor told TMZ.
Grier rose to fame for posting comedic and lifestyle videos on the now-defunct Vine, a video-sharing app that allowed users to publish six-second videos. He and his brother, Hayes Grier, were a part of Magcon in the late 2010s. Magcon, which stands for “meet and greet convention,” was deemed “a boy-band phenomenon without the band.”
