Jonas plays a singer in 'Power Ballad,' which hits theaters on June 5

Nick Jonas is opening up about an "odd request" he gets at weddings.
During the Q&A portion of SiriusXM's special early screening of Power Ballad at The Roxy Cinema in New York City, on Monday, May 18, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter revealed the surprising song he's asked to perform at weddings.
"You know, I've gone to a few weddings where, you know, I'm friends with the bride and groom or with the family, whatever it is, and in one case they came up, and the bride and groom asked, 'Can you please play 'Jealous' ?' " Jonas said.

He continued, "I'm kind of reluctant because it's not the best sentiment, the night you're committing your whole lives to each other. But, it's fun."
Jonas' 2014 sexy and intense pop song, which also has a remix featuring Tinashe and a gospel version, is about feeling possessive and protective in a relationship. It starts off with, "I don't like the way he's lookin' at you."
Jonas has weddings on the mind right now as he stars as famous singer Danny Wilson in the musical comedy film Power Ballad, directed by John Carney. "Rick (Paul Rudd), a washed-up wedding singer, and Danny, a fading boy band star, bond over music and a late-night jam session. When Danny turns Rick's song into a hit, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves," per an official synopsis.
Earlier this year, Jonas and Rudd, 57, revealed their picks for "the ultimate wedding song."

"There are so many. One that I go to all the time is probably Bryan Adams' '(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,' " Jonas told Entertainment Weekly at the premiere of Power Ballad during the SXSW Conference & Festivals on March 14, in Austin, Texas.
Rudd's wedding song pick was more untraditional. He said, "I don't know, I kind of like to go against the wedding grain. I think, like, a great wedding song would be, you know, some kind of punk song or something that is incongruous to what you would think a wedding song would be. I went to a wedding once and I heard 'Oh Yoko!' by John Lennon. The couple's dance, their bride and groom dance, was to 'Oh Yoko!' and I thought, 'That's great.' "
