The 13-year-old previously debuted more than a dozen dermal piercings on her hands alone

North West is all about creative expression, but there’s one place where her parents draw the line.
In a new interview with Dazed published Monday, Aug. 24, the 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, opened up about her highly publicized love for piercings, plus which one she’s not allowed to get.
“They just make you your full self,” she told the outlet when asked what piqued her interest in getting pierced.

“I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I’m not allowed,” North added of her parents’ restrictions.
The teen, who dropped her debut EP, N0rth4evr, at 12 years old, didn’t share why piercing her bridge was off-limits, but she did recently debut a different type of art — piercings on her thighs!

On Aug. 3, a video posted to North and Kardashian’s joint TikTok account showed what appeared to be two metal studs placed in the center of each thigh.
Just one month prior, North was seen in another TikTok clip in which bandages were situated in the exact same place as the possible dermal piercings on her thighs. Dermal piercings are anchored below the skin and should be covered for a couple of days after being done in order to heal, according to WebMD.
North’s thigh piercings aren’t the reality star’s only dermal piercings, and as noted by Dazed, have become part of the teen’s “signature” look.
Her style transformation dates back to at least June 2025, when the eldest of West and Kardashian’s kids debuted blue hair on her mother’s Instagram Stories.
Since then, North, who has also been known to rock a blacked-out grill, has also been spotted with a dermal piercing on her hand, along with a bridge piercing, studs on her cheeks and several finger piercings.
“Why is my teeth black? Are we okay?” she said in a livestream reshared to X in January before confirming that the accessory was in fact temporary. “I could take them out,” she added after showing off her teeth.

Both North and the 45-year-old SKIMS mogul have addressed the teen’s appearance at various times since her transformation.
“This is such a non-issue 😭,” the Kim and North joint TikTok account wrote in response to Daily Mail Australia posting about North’s ever-changing look in October 2025.

That same month, Kardashian spoke about North’s fashion choices during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“She’s really mature in one sense where she’ll be like, ‘Mom, I saw this, and I don’t really care that they don’t like… my blue hair or this or that,’ ” the All’s Fair actress said, adding, “She’s really confident.”
