Several original Baywatch stars were spotted filming scenes for the upcoming Fox reboot in Venice Beach, Calif., on Wednesday, May 27, bringing a major dose of nostalgia to the iconic shoreline that helped make the series a pop culture phenomenon.

Packard, 51, who played April Giminski during seasons 8 and 9, wore a green bikini during filming. Chokachi, 58, who portrayed lifeguard Cody Madison, sported sky-blue swim trunks, while Bergin, 57, known to fans as Jack “J.D.” Darius, wore red floral-print swim shorts.

At various moments during filming, the trio was seen posing with surfboards, taking selfies together and even doing pushups in the sand.

For longtime fans of the Baywatch franchise, Chokachi's return may not come as a surprise. Earlier this year, details about the reboot revealed that the actor would officially reprise his role as Cody Madison.

In the new series, Cody now runs The Shoreline bar-and-grill, though he still “puts on the red trunks for the occasional shift saving lives” and serves as both a “mentor” and “friend” to the reboot's younger generation of lifeguards.

The upcoming Fox reboot, which began production earlier this year, stars Stephen Amell, Shay Mitchell, Jessica Belkin, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader and Livvy Dunne.

First-look photos released from the set on March 17 showed the cast wearing the franchise's signature red swimsuits while filming scenes together.

The series centers on Amell's character, Hobie Buchannon, the son of legendary lifeguard Mitch Buchannon, who was played in the original series by David Hasselhoff. Hobie has followed in his father's footsteps and now works as a Baywatch Captain, though his life is “turned upside down” when “the daughter he never knew shows up on his doorstep, eager to carry on the Buchannon family legacy and become a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her dad.” Belkin plays Hobie's daughter, Charlie.

Beck, Mitchell, Dunne and Thaddeus LaGrone portray lifeguards working under Hobie's command, while Nader stars as Selene, a rival captain.

According to the official synopsis, “Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California's shoreline.”

The original Baywatch premiered in 1989 and ran for 11 seasons through 2001, with Hasselhoff, 73, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra and more starring in the series during its run.

Electra, 54, recently hinted she may be open to returning as Lani McKenzie. “I don't know if I'd want to be in the water necessarily, but I could do the slow-motion run — I can definitely do that,” she told TMZ.

The actress added that a cameo “could be fun” and said she is “talking to” the team behind the series “right now” about the possibility.

“I still look really good in that suit, so that is not a problem,” she added.

The new Baywatch will debut in January 2027, according to a teaser Fox released.
