During the tribute, Zegler, 25, sang "What I Did for Love" at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on Sunday, June 7.

It was the longest-running production in Broadway history before Catstook over the title in 1997, and now is the seventh-longest production, as of June 2026.
A Chorus Line's original production on Broadway won Tony Awards in 1976 for Best Musical, Best Choreography, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical, Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical and Best Lighting Design.
Earlier on the red carpet, the West Side Story actress rocked a brown gown with a V-neck.
Zegler is set to reprise her role in the revival of Evita when it heads to Broadway next spring. The production, directed by Jamie Lloyd, ran on London's West End from June 2025 to September 2025.

She won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical on April 12 for her role as Argentine first lady Eva Perón.
“Performing Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's brilliant show in London was a dream come true, but being able to partner once again with Jamie to bring Evita to Broadway is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” Zegler said in a statement, per Variety.
“I can't wait to perform for my home, New York City,” she added.
“When we started discussing a New York production, it became apparent that our Palladium staging of ‘Don't Cry for Me Argentina' would not be possible,” Lloyd said, per Variety. “I am really excited to explore a new idea, made especially for Broadway.”
Webber, 78, added that Evita's production is “extraordinary.”
“It is so exciting to see Tim and my work reimagined in new ways, and the show has a generational talent in Rachel Zegler. I can't wait for American audiences to experience a production which took the West End by storm,” he added.
During the Tony Awards, Webber also made a fun cameo alongside Anna Wintour, as they held up cat-themed signs during the CATS: The Jellicle Ball performance.
