Luna was a single mother based in Victoria, British Columbia, per a GoFundMe for her end-of-life expenses.
The content creator — who spoke candidly about living with Alzheimer’s and considered herself an advocate for MAID — first revealed her diagnosis on TikTok in April 2025 when she was 48 years old.
The video, which garnered hundreds of thousands of likes, was followed by her sharing updates about doctor’s appointments and her choice to pursue MAID over the next year.
Luna’s followers saw her as she offered resources for other people exploring end-of-life options and answered questions about the laws surrounding MAID.
She also caught the attention of pop star and her longtime hero Lily Allen, after making a video asking if she could take a photo with the “Smile” singer while attending one of her concerts.
“I told her that it was my bucket list to meet her,” recounted Luna in a follow-up video. “It was the best experience.”
On July 22, the internet personality shared with her followers that she had moved her MAID date — which had previously been scheduled for early August — to July 25 at 10 a.m.
“Prior to the dates changing for the last year and a half has been legally and medically not my choice. But for the last two weeks I’ve been making the decision,” Luna explained in her final video. “And it’s a hard decision to make, because I’m living in a body that doesn’t feel comfortable, safe, good, nothing. It feels terrible. And so the idea of waiting two weeks felt like too much.”

“This is when I get to prioritize myself, and I haven’t done that my whole life,” she said.
In the update, Luna acknowledged the pain that she experienced throughout her life, making peace with her circumstances. “I’ve suffered enough in this world,” she said, candidly. “But at the same time, the suffering has brought me to this place of ‘I really know who I am and I really know that I have a good f–king heart.’ ”

She concluded the video by offering a final message to her followers, sharing how she learned to stand up for the 5-year-old version of herself that “nobody stood up for.”
“I hope if I leave this planet that’s the only thing I teach — and that’s the only thing that somebody gets something out of — is that you just need to act your way into loving yourself,” said Luna. “If I can do it, you can do it too.”
