Maren Morris’ connection to Morgan Wade goes way beyond her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fandom.
“Maren, have you ever performed with or seen Morgan Wade perform?” Andy Cohen asked Morris, 34, during her Watch What Happens Live appearance on Tuesday, April 8.
“She actually, randomly enough, opened for my ex-husband on his tour a few years ago,” Morris said. “We have a ton of mutual friends. She’s so sweet, very talented.”
Morris noted that she was “very shocked” to see Wade, 30, on RHOBH last season. (Wade filmed with Kyle Richards for a season 13 episode, which aired in November 2023.)
“I’m such a Beverly Hills fan and had met Kyle and Mauricio [Umansky] years prior,” Morris continued. “All of a sudden, Morgan’s on TV and I was like, ‘Holy s***, it’s Nashville on Beverly Hills.’ She’s lovely.”

Morris concluded, “I, kind of, feel bad that I’m talking about her when she doesn’t want to be talked about. No, she’s so sweet.”
Cohen, 56, chimed in once again.
“As I pointed out tonight, she’s also a performer,” he added. “[We’re] talking about her music.”
Morris and Cohen were referring to the first 10 minutes of Tuesday’s RHOBH season 14 reunion, which were spent discussing Richards and Wade. (Questions about Richards’ relationship with Wade have been raised following the RHOBH star’s July 2023 separation from Umansky, 54.)
Richards previously told her RHOBH costars that Wade’s name was off limits during this season of the show — which confused some of her fellow Housewives as well as Cohen.
“For people at home who are saying, ‘Wait, you’re on a reality show. You’re supposed to tell us everything.’ You would say what to them?” Cohen asked at one point. Richards said that if speaking about someone she loves was going to cause harm, the backlash wouldn’t matter.

Later on in the episode, Cohen continued to express his confusion about keeping Wade’s name off the show.
“With singing and performing comes speculation about your life,” he said. “You put music videos out there. … Well, she also experienced greater publicity [from RHOBH] and greater attraction and interest as a result of this.”
Cohen noted that Wade was featured in The New York Times in August 2023, and he even brought up Richards’ cameo in her “Fall in Love” music video which was released that same month.
“I do just want to point out, putting out a music video that is the two of you as lovers, it contributed so [much] to a conversation that was already a runaway train,” Cohen noted. “That was totally in her hands, I have to say. At some point you can’t have your cake and eat it too.”
