‘RHONY’ Alum Sonja Morgan Leaves Florida Restaurant in Ambulance

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Sonja Morgan was taken away in an ambulance from a Florida restaurant.

According to footage obtained and published by TMZ on Friday, May 16, Morgan, 61, appeared upset and emotional as she spoke to police officers at Echo in Palm Beach, Florida on Thursday evening prior to being taken away in the vehicle.

Per TMZ’s report, Morgan spoke to the police officers, fire personnel as well as restaurant staff for around 15 minutes before she was loaded into the back of an ambulance on a stretcher.

The person behind the camera could be heard laughing as they filmed the interaction, while others in the restaurant turned their heads to see the commotion that Morgan was at the center of.

According to the outlet, Morgan had initially called an ambulance after someone else at the restaurant fell.

“An elderly patron at the restaurant I was dining at appeared to be in distress, and I called for medical assistance,” she told People in a statement on Friday, May 16. “While assisting during the commotion, I sustained some minor injuries and, out of an abundance of caution, accompanied the EMTs to be checked out.”

She added: “I’m incredibly grateful to the first responders for their swift care and professionalism.”

Following the incident, Morgan received a trespass warning, according to documents TMZ obtained from the Palm Beach Police Dept. Per the outlet, the documents showed she refused to sign the warning.

Us Weekly has reached out to Morgan for comment.

Morgan rose to reality TV fame when she joined RHONY for season 3 in 2010, remaining as a cast member for 11 seasons until 2021. After leaving the show, Morgan toured regionally for her improv show titled Sonja in Your City. She returned to Bravo with RHONY costar Luann de Lesseps on Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake, which aired in 2023. Sonja also starred on season 4 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in 2023.

The incident comes less than a week after Morgan reportedly refused to pay a hefty check while out to eat at a Manhattan restaurant Tucci.

Page Six reported that Morgan — who booked a table of three on Saturday, May 10 but allegedly arrived with five people — called Tucci owner Max Tucci after being handed her bill and asking for it to be covered.

Morgan reportedly paid the bill, including a tip, by Monday, May 12. Page Six reported that the Bravo personality had been given free meals by the restaurant in the past, assuming she would not have to pay for the food while eating on Saturday.
