Several television shows have gotten the axe this year.

2026 has been a big year for TV, with new series being introduced and other beloved shows coming to their natural ends. The start of the year saw Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco’s (Jackson White) toxic relationship in Hulu’s Tell Me Lies came to a conclusion. As spring approached, Euphoria fans said goodbye to Zendaya’s Rue. More recently, the Pogues went on one last treasure hunt in Outer Banks’ fifth and final season, which was released on Netflix on Aug. 20.

But while the creators of some of these shows expressed their ends having been planned from the start, other series have been put on the chopping block this year. Most recently, Variety reported on Aug. 24 that Mindy Kaling’s latest Hulu comedy, Not Suitable for Work, was canceled following its debut season.

“I love this show, I loved making this show, I love these people, and I love all of you for all your sweet comments, messages, edits and for watching @notsuitableforwork ❤️❣️,” Kaling wrote on Instagram following the news of the cancellation.
