Simone Biles is ready to call a new state home!
During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 2026 US Open, the Olympic gymnast, 29, opened up about her plans to relocate to Indiana to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, who signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in March.
While the couple’s primary residence is in Texas — where they recently settled into their custom-built, waterfront mansion — Biles explained she’s also going to call Indianapolis home soon.

“I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there [to Indianapolis] a little bit later,” she told PEOPLE on Sept. 8. “So I haven’t experienced too much, but the stadium is stunning. It’s beautiful. I’m just excited to watch my husband. It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care.”
On Sunday, Sept. 13, Owens stepped out for his first game with the Colts. Prior to kickoff, the NFL safety shared a pregame kiss with Biles and the two also did a special handshake before he took the field to face the Baltimore Ravens.

After Owens, 30, signed the deal with his fifth NFL team on March 18, Biles took to Instagram to celebrate the news and express her excitement to take on a new city.
“Excited to call Indy home this upcoming football season 💙 Beyond proud of you @jowens! Keep defeating the odds, I love you,” Biles wrote of Owens alongside photos from their trip to Indianapolis at the time.
News of Biles’ move comes nearly one year after she announced that her Texas home was finally completed in November 2025 after five years of working on it. “Home building requires a lot of patience,” she wrote on Instagram Stories at the time.
She also shared a timeline of the entire process, noting that the design alone first started in 2020 and took over “a year to complete.”

After waiting “a while” for approvals from the Homeowners Association (HOA), she was able to finally break ground at the site in February 2022. The home was finished on Nov. 11, 2025, after almost three years of construction, she shared.
Since then, she’s revealed a number of the home’s stunning design details, including the massive kitchen equipped with two islands, one with a waterfall countertop and the other with a built-in sink.

She also revealed her spacious laundry room stocked with four machines and a designated room for her dog.
In June, Biles shared even more snaps from inside the home, showing off her massive bedroom as she enjoyed breakfast in bed, followed by a closer look at her outdoor kitchen situated next to the pool.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in May 2025, Biles explained how she and Owens were both involved in the process of creating their dream home together: “I think we’ve done a good collab of what we wanted our house to look like,” she said at the time.
The couple tied the knot in a courthouse wedding in April 2023, before hosting a second ceremony in Mexico the following month. They first met on the dating app Raya in March 2020 and got engaged in February 2022.
