Tara Lipinski’s daughter Georgie wants to follow in her mom’s footsteps.
On Thursday, Sept. 17, the Olympian, 44, shared a few photos on her Instagram in honor of her daughter Georgie, 2, attending her first day of preschool. In the sweet snaps, Georgie could be seen wearing a Disney princess dress with a pink tutu and carrying a Little Mermaid lunch box.
In her lap, Georgie held a sign that read “Georgie First Day of Pre-School.” It included the day’s date, Georgie’s age, and things that she loves (skating and her parents).
“When I grow up I want to be [an] ice skater,” read another section of the sign.

In May 2025, Lipinski shared that she and her husband have thought about adding another little one into their life. The former professional athlete, who was open during her first pregnancy about her long infertility journey, admitted that it can be a “long process.”
“We are definitely wanting to bring a sibling to Georgie, so we are in the process of starting our second journey,” Lipinski told PEOPLE. “But that’s a long process and there’s always what ifs with that, but fingers crossed, but maybe that can happen for us.”
Lipinski also shared at the time that she has been guiding her daughter Georgie through some important milestones, like trying ice skating.
“She was like 9 months old, maybe, when we took her on the ice for the first time,” said Lipinski. “Unfortunately, we were part of the Palisades fire, so the last few months we have not been skating, but I plan to get her back out there again.”

“She likes when I skate with her. She probably was taking a few steps, but now she could probably stand on her skates alone and all of that.”
Then in February, Lipinski shared a few photos on her Instagram of her daughter Georgie meeting Ilia Malinin, who won gold at the U.S. team figure skating event at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
In the first photo, Malinin could be seen gently placing his gold medal over Georgie’s head. The little one reached out her hands to grasp the necklace, and then rested on the figure skater’s lap for a few sweet snaps.
“This moment 🥺,” Lipinski wrote in her caption. “You can tell Ilia is a great big brother, he was just so sweet with Georgie. 🥇.”
