Ever since I cracked open Elin Hilderbrand’s novel, The Five-Star Weekend, I’ve dreamt of decorating my home and hosting a dinner party (baby steps) on par with Jennifer Garner’s character, Hollis Shaw — just maybe without so much heartbreak and drama.
My imagination could only take me so far, fed with the written word, but, fortunately, I now have eight episodes worth of visuals, thanks to Peacock’s new limited series of the same name. I may not have a home on Nantucket or a hit food blog, but I’m taking steps toward a guest-ready space worthy of a “Hungry with Hollis” feature, thanks to these inspired hosting finds at Amazon — with prices as little as $18.

One thing about Hollis: She’s not serving anything in its original packaging. She’ll even redistribute something as simple as potato chips into a polished serving bowl like this one. In the first episode, she used a scalloped bowl, reminiscent of a seashell and similar to this find, as a serving dish for her elaborate welcome dinner party.
Later in the same episode, while the women are chatting on the couch, I also spotted late-night popcorn and potato chip snacks arranged in aesthetically pleasing vessels. This food-safe lookalike can plate up salads and pasta dishes or serve as a decorative piece or fruit bowl.

Shaw’s home is bursting with life, and I’m not just talking about her weekend house guests. She expertly arranged plants and florals, including classic Nantucket hydrangeas from her yard, to fill each space with an airy and fresh vibe and bring nature’s most pleasant aspects inside. I, unfortunately, do not have a hydrangea bush in my yard or a large budget for fresh blooms, but I will be grabbing these bud vases to mimic her floral table décor.
She arranged small floral sprigs in miniature vases that look virtually identical to these on Amazon. Not only is this type of floral arrangement more attainable, but it also doesn’t inhibit dinner conversations like taller bouquets.

Lancici Bedside Water Carafe

For overnight guests, this pull from Shaw was downright genius. It ensures your visitors always have a glass of water before bed (or in case of a midnight coughing fit), without having to rummage through your kitchen cupboards looking for a glass or remember to ask you before the night winds down.
It has a capacity of around 700 milliliters and an included cup for easy sipping. I can also envision it storing mouthwash in a bathroom or serving orange juice for breakfast mimosas.
