The moment temperatures start to rise, I become eager to ditch heavy, constricting shoes for something lightweight and breathable. I also have to fight the urge to slip on the same pair of unsupportive flip-flops when running out of the house.

In search of a balance between a stylish shoe that’s warm-weather-appropriate and supportive, I turned to Bombas. I’ve been a long-time fan of the brand’s bras and socks, so I was excited to test the Friday Sandal. And right now, first-time customers can save 20 percent on them with the code COMFORT20.

The first time I slipped on these cushy sandals, I knew they would instantly become my go-tos for spring and summer. The foam material is so light, and the cushioned sole makes each step feel like walking on a cloud. Not only does the material ensure comfort and support, but the unique design, with thick straps that curve to the exact shape of my arches and a cupped heel, creates a glove-like fit that hugs my feet.

The minimal design also makes them easy to throw on with everyday outfits. They come in nine colors, including neutral shades that can be easily mixed and matched with different looks. I opted for the spring-ready light pink color that adds a vibrant touch, whether I’m wearing athleisure, jeans, or a casual dress.

I recently wore them during a long day of walking around my neighborhood with my dog and running errands, and while six hours on my feet would normally leave them tired and sore, I noticed no pain whatsoever.

Since they’re waterproof, I have also brought them on a couple of trips to wear at the pool. The ribbed insole adds enough traction to keep my foot in place, and the outsole has a honeycomb tread pattern, so I never worried about slipping. I found that the material dried almost instantly after leaving the pool, but a few reviews cautioned against leaving the shoes out to dry in the sun, as they can shrink.

In addition to my stamp of approval, nearly 5,000 customers give them a five-star rating, including one person who is “prone to plantar pain” and shared that these “offer great support and still maintain great style.” Another shopper who was “constantly in pain” found immediate relief the moment they put these slides on, adding that they “have good arch support.”
