Tom Cruise has nothing but love for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
The 64-year-old action star appeared as a guest on Travis’ New Heights podcast on Friday, Sept. 18, after attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener next to Swift earlier in the week.
After sharing that Swift “schooled” him with her football knowledge, Cruise went on to rave about the pop star and her athlete husband.

“She’s a cook, a painter, a writer, a poet and look at you,” Cruise said to Travis. “It’s like being able to take something and then create in it. I admire that. When I see people, I’m always going around and looking at their skills and trying to understand that and then I learn from it. And how do we apply it.”
Travis, 36, was touched by the compliment, saying, “I appreciate you saying that, man. It’s the best, man, I appreciate you saying it.”
Calling Travis and Swift a “beautiful couple,” Cruise continued, “Like, really, beautiful, it’s lovely in every way and your whole family, your friends, from the moment that I met you all, it’s just, it’s really beautiful.”
Thanking the Top Gun star, Travis noted, “I’m a lucky son of a buck, man,” to which Cruise replied, “Yeah, but you create your own luck, man,” and Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, agreed, adding, “He has done that.”
Cruise also had kind words for Jason, adding, “As you’re going through it — you too, man — your family and everything you have a choice of how you’re gonna lift everybody up or you can focus on the negative. And it’s not just being bluebird pie-in-the-sky everything’s going to be great, you’ve gotta figure out why it didn’t work and then adjust it. But you’ve gotta have that vibe of ‘we’re gonna make this work’ no matter how hard the storm is, the sun’s behind it. The sun is always there, man.”
Travis agreed with Cruise’s perception of the Kelce brothers’ outlook, adding, “You gotta believe it. Even if that forecast doesn’t say it is. We just gotta get above the clouds.”
Cruise said he has a similar mindset, noting, “That’s it! That’s my life. I like that. You just gotta get above the clouds, that’s all.”

In addition to watching the game with Swift, Cruise also attended her London Eras tour stop at Wembley Stadium, where Travis famously took the stage with his future bride.
“She’s a genius,” Cruise praised Swift on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 17. “I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends, they’re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right. Everybody there in that booth.”
