The former U.S. National Women's Team star, 36, marked Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, with the announcement that she is expecting baby number three in a sweet video posted on Instagram.

“Mother’s Day feeling extra special this year. Excited to welcome baby #3 this Fall,” Morgan captioned the post.

In the video, the expectant star was seen walking with her back to the camera alongside her daughter, Charlie, 6, and husband, Servando Carrasco, who was holding their 1-year-old son Enzo, on the beach at sunset, as an iPhone perched on the ground in front of them captured them.

Morgan then turned to the side and lifted her shirt to reveal her baby bump as her daughter, Charlie, sweetly kissed it. Morgan and Carrasco, 37, then shared a kiss and embraced one another while looking out at the sunset.

In September 2024, Morgan announced her retirement from soccer at the same time she announced she was pregnant with her second child.

The longtime USWNT star said in an Instagram video, “I have so much clarity about this decision … It has been a long time coming and this decision wasn’t easy, but at the beginning of 2024 I felt in my heart and soul that this would be the last season I would play soccer.”

Morgan told PEOPLE a month later that her pregnancy was a “surprise” and led to her decision to retire earlier than expected.

“We're just really looking forward to expanding our family,” said the two-time World Cup champion. “We've wanted to do this for a while, but we obviously wanted to find the right time. It came a few months earlier than anticipated, as the pregnancy was a little unexpected, but looking back I'm really grateful for how everything worked out.”
