As we turn the corner into the final week of September, a sense of autumn fills the air.
As we have just recently crossed the Autumn Equinox, day by day we are noticing the nights getting longer. Slowly but surely, the leaves in much of the Northern Hemisphere will start to turn as we see an explosion of colors like a tapestry of gold, scarlet and yellow. August may seem like a distant memory already — and while the summer had some bumps in the road due to the cosmic weather, we’re headed toward a very long period that will feel like we are walking into a vortex of the past.
Venus retrograde begins Oct. 3, and we’ll start seeing beauty, love and relationships through rose-colored glasses. We may end up crossing paths with karmic connections, exes, and old flames in the months ahead. Prepare for this — as it will be a whirlwind of nostalgia, like we’ve stepped into a black-and-white movie and we are watching the past come back to life.
This week, we will notice a burst of passion igniting within us as Mars, the planet of fire, sizzles into the kingdoms of Leo from Sept. 27 until Nov. 25. This adds more emphasis onto the themes of this zodiac sign, which are already quite prominent due to Jupiter, the Great Expander, spinning within this corner of the heavens.
Collectively, we will be even more focused on romance, our heart’s desires, creativity, recreation, and expressing ourselves. While this would usually be a glorious period for dating and meeting someone new — you still can, but you may want to take it slow. Or even better, if you hold a torch for someone from the past, this could also be an ideal period to start opening the doors to that once again. But a key note of advice from me: do not open the doors to toxic love just because you are lonely or are looking at it from a warped perspective. Only do so if you both have grown and learned from the past.
Mercury, our planet of the mind, also ventures into the seas of Scorpio as of Sept. 30 and will remain here due to a retrograde in October and November for quite some time. With our cosmic messenger in this corner of the heavens, we are more perceptive, intuitive, and intense in our communications—but also more suspicious and cunning.
As for cosmic weather this week, expect the 28th to be spontaneous and encourage us to step outside of our comfort zones. Oct. 2 brings mixed frequencies, with some tough news that may make us frustrated, or we may notice some people are being aggressive. Oct. 3 is very challenging and could bring intense power struggles, so it may be best to lie low the entire weekend if you can.
