Who Is Andy Richter’s Wife? All About Jennifer Herrera Richter

During his time on Dancing with the Stars, Andy Richter has been cheered on by friends and family, including his wife, Jennifer Herrera Richter.

Andy started dating Jen in 2022, just a few years after divorcing his first wife of 25 years, Sarah Thyre. The actor-comedian and Jen tied the knot in June 2023.

While Andy has been showing off his moves on national television, he told his comedy pal, Conan O’Brien, he usually isn’t found on the dance floor.

“Also Jen, my wife reminded me that on our wedding, she said like, ‘Well, you know, what about our dance together?’ And I was like, ‘Shortest song possible’ ” Andy recalled on a September 2025 episode of the Conan Needs a Friend podcast. “I was like, ‘No, I don’t want all those eyes on us for that long.’ ”

She is a talent agent

Andy isn’t the only one in the couple in show business. Jen is a talent agent and producer.

She is the founder of Las Bandas Be Brave, a talent agency for directors who specialize in projects such as commercials, music videos and documentaries, per the company’s LinkedIn.

According to her bio on the Las Bandas Be Brave website, Jen is the “Head Creative Producer, Talent Agent and EP with history and experience across the music, advertising and entertainment industry for the past 24 years.”

In September 2024, Andy was a guest on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s podcast, Dinner’s on Me, where he spoke about when he started dating Jen, and how he loved how accomplished she was in her career.

“A big deal to me, a realization that crept up on me about her too, is that she did not need me,” he explained. “She has her own business, she has a career that she’s been involved in for years and years, does well at it, is well respected in her community.”

She has a daughter

Jen has a daughter, Cornelia, who is in kindergarten.

During his interview on Dinner’s on Me, when talking about Jen, Andy said she “decided to have a baby, and had a baby on her own.”

According to her Instagram bio, Jen is “mom to Cornelia … Stepmom to William and Mercy,” Andy’s kids from his previous marriage.

While appearing on a December 2022 episode of the podcast Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, Andy spoke about being the dad to a young child again, saying, “My fiancé has a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and so now I have a two-and-a-half-year-old … not officially, but you know, but we’re working on it.”

When asked about being a parent to Jen’s daughter, Andy responded, “That’s always been part of the deal for both of us from our first date. I never once tried to pretend like it wasn’t, like the two of them weren’t one thing.”

Andy and Jen met on a dating app

While talking to Ferguson on Dinner’s on Me, Andy revealed he and Jen met on the dating app Hinge. Andy said it was his “first real experience” online dating — after briefly trying Raya, at the suggestion of his friend, comedian Nikki Glaser.

After going on a couple of dates, Andy and Jen began spending more time together. “Then I just started hanging out at her house and I met her daughter,” he explained. “And I started finding myself driving home feeling very, very happy.”

They got engaged after dating less than a year

The two started dating in early 2022, and got engaged later that year, Andy announced on Instagram on Nov. 8, 2022.

“Some non-election news: I got engaged! To a lady! Her name is Jennifer Herrera and she’s the best,” he captioned a photo of him and Jen. “We’ve been together since the beginning of the year, and we’re getting married next summer. HOORAY LOVE!❤️❤️❤️.”

They got married in June 2023

Andy and Jen got married at their home in West Hollywood, Calif., in June 2023. Andy’s longtime friend and comedy collaborator, O’Brien, officiated the wedding at the last minute after Jen’s friend was unable to.

“I knew he had done it [before] because he married our wardrobe designer on our show,” Andy told Page Six. “So I asked him to do it and he did it!”

The actor added how the wedding was “like a low-key house party, it was a nice party.”

On June 13, 2023, Andy posted a picture on Instagram of him and Jen eating wedding cake at their celebration. He captioned the sweet photo: “We got married.”

Jen is a supportive spouse at Dancing with the Stars

Jen has been showing her support for Andy on Dancing with the Stars, as she can be seen cheering him on from the audience during tapings of the competition series.

Andy — and his pro dance partner Emma Slater — have received 25 points so far on Dancing with the Stars season 34. In the first week, the pair scored 9 out of 20 points from the judges for the cha-cha, and in Week 2, they received 16 out of 30 points for their try at the tango.
