- A woman recounted her nightmare flight back from Las Vegas
- The PEOPLE reader revealed she was seated next to a man who fell ill
- The passenger was sick for the entire five-hour flight
A woman’s busy work trip quickly turned stale when what she thought was a lucky break turned out to be every plane passenger’s worst nightmare.
The PEOPLE reader recently shared the details of her uncomfortable travel day in response to an article asking commenters to share their most memorable flight stories.
The woman, who writes under the name Emma, said the encounter took place on a flight home from a “successful Las Vegas work event.”
Ahead of her journey home, Emma learned that her seat was upgraded to include “even more space.”
She was thrilled to have an empty row to herself and saw it as a “sign from the universe that I killed it at my event.”
The good omen didn’t last long, however.
Emma was disappointed to see a man board the flight “just as the doors closed” at the last second. He then joined Emma in the aisle seat, before proceeding to “vomit for the next five hours.”
“His vomit victims included a tote bag, a reusable water bottle, garbage bags, his own sweatshirt, you name it,” Emma wrote.
“Some people really can’t handle Vegas,” she continued in the post. “And JetBlue, you owe me!”
