A woman has already hit a top prize in a brand new Michigan Lottery game — and she is still processing her luck.

The 39-year-old Genesee County resident, who opted to remain anonymous, purchased “a few tickets” while out with a friend for Cinco de Mayo earlier this month at Liquor Wheel on Clio Road in Flint, according to a news release from the Michigan Lottery.

“I play lottery games a lot, but I actually wasn’t planning on stopping to buy tickets that day,” the woman admitted, but then changed her mind at a friend's insistence.

At first she won $30.

The woman then used her winnings to buy two more tickets, including one for Michigan Lottery’s new $5 Lucky Stars instant game.

This time, she received the surprise of a lifetime.

“I scratched them in the store and ran out to my car crying when I saw I’d won $1 million,” the woman recalled. “It was unreal!”

The woman recently went to Michigan Lottery’s headquarters to claim her prize, opteing to take home a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000.

“I’m still trying to process it,” she said.
