“XO, Kitty” Season 3 Ending Explained: What's Next for Kitty and Min Ho?

Just like that, another semester at K.I.S.S. has come to an end.

XO, Kitty season 3 premiered on Netflix on April 2, picking up after Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) asked Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) if she could join him on his family's big summer tour in the season 2 finale.

After the series' first summer episode, the rest of the season unfolds over a single semester at K.I.S.S. — one that Kitty is determined to make the most of as she works through her "senior sunset list."

But as viewers know, a lot can happen in one semester. With old flames returning to Seoul, college application deadlines looming and the usual chaos of Kitty’s messy friend group, things don’t exactly go according to plan.

Below, here's everything to know about the XO, Kitty season 3 ending.

How did XO, Kitty season 3 end?

XO, Kitty season 3 ends with the titular character's 18th surprise birthday party, where several old flames reconnect — yes, that includes Yuri (Gia Kim) and Juliana (Regan Aliyah) — for another shot at second chances before everyone heads their separate ways for winter break.

Although they are broken up after a fight over trust earlier in the season, Min Ho organizes several sweet surprises for Kitty's special day, from themed gifts to her late mom's favorite flowers. They share a dance and discuss Kitty's decision to go to NYU (after being accepted early decision!) and Min Ho's new job offer, but their high-stakes conversation is interrupted.

As if XO, Kitty's season 1 dramatic airport chase wasn't enough, season 3 ends with another one: this time, Min Ho rushing to Seoul Station to catch Kitty before she heads back to Portland, Ore.

Do Kitty and Min Ho get back together?

On the way to hopefully catch Kitty before her flight, Min Ho texts her a song he made her as a belated birthday gift. When they finally come face-to-face, Min Ho apologizes for how long it took for him to "sort [himself] out."

He tells Kitty that he doesn't want to stand in the way of her future, nor does he know what his holds. However, Min Ho does know one thing: he wants her to be part of it, and couldn't let her go without telling her that — or saying, "I love you."

She reciprocates the feeling and the couple shares a passionate kiss in the train station. In a voiceover, Kitty (the ultimate planner!) has finally come to terms with not being clear about her and Min Ho's future together, and instead letting things happen naturally.

Is Q still in a love triangle?

Q (Anthony Keyvan) was faced with some challenges this season when Marius (Sule Thelwell), his former roommate and love interest, came and threatened his relationship with his boyfriend Jin (Joshua Hyunho Lee). By the end of the season, Q and Jin had called it quits after the latter found out about some scandalous secrets the athlete had been keeping.

While Q spends some time going "down that road with Marius," he ultimately comes to realize that he wants to be with Jin.

In the final episode, Jin admits that although he wants to continue to let Q grovel, "like, forever," he wants to trust him again and enjoy their final semester together.

How did Jiwon and Alex's families react to their baby news?

Everyone was shocked when they learned that the positive pregnancy test belonged to Kitty's cousin Jiwon (Hojo Shin) and that she was expecting a child with Alex (Peter Thurnwald), whom she had been pretending to hate all season long. In reality, the pair had met at orientation and sparked a secret romance, given that K.I.S.S. professors aren't to date each other.

In episode 10, Alex accidentally lets the news slip to Professor Lee (Michael K. Lee) — who, in case you forgot, he found out was his biological dad in season 2. Alex admits he doesn't know if he is "ready," but promises to be there for his future child.

In return, Lee assures Alex that had he known about him earlier, he would have "dropped everything" to be in his life — and tells Alex he is glad he has the chance to "be the father I wasn't."

Lee smiles when Alex asks him to be there for the "firsts" with his baby and refers to him as grandfather.

Meanwhile, Jiwon's halmoni (Ae Yon Han) — who the professor swore would "disown" her if she knew about the pregnancy — was reluctant at first, but eventually came around to it after some words of encouragement from Kitty. Plus, she gave Alex her own stamp of approval: a shocking compliment about his "handsome chin."

Although things are looking up for the pair, some change is on the horizon now that their relationship is public. Since K.I.S.S. professors can't date, Alex has agreed to quit if one of them has to leave the university.

Where do Eunice and Dae stand?

There's a lot going on in Eunice (Ryu Han-bi) and Dae's (Choi Min-yeong) worlds this semester, with Eunice becoming a mega superstar and Dae's family's restaurant opening. Romantically, things seem to initially be rocky for the pair, who sparked a connection in season 2, as Dae is fighting for Eunice's attention (and affection) amid her newfound fame.

But, as we later learn, the pair lost their virginity to each other when he surprised her in Paris over the summer. Eunice had been ignoring Dae when they returned to school, seemingly because she was overwhelmed by the fact that she stopped getting her period and the constant craze of paparazzi following her life.

Following a brief pregnancy scare and the realization that she wants to go back to her private life, Eunice and Dae finally reach some peace by the finale and attend Kitty's birthday party together as dates.

What’s next for Kitty and Min Ho?

Now that Min Ho and Kitty have said they love each other, there's a lot to figure out about their future. After all, Kitty has been accepted early decision to NYU, and Min Ho has been offered a job as manager of girl group SOS911, which, if he accepts, will mean he misses quite a bit of their last semester together.

Despite not knowing what the future holds, season 3 ends with the pair sitting together on a plane — in business class no less! — heading back to Kitty's hometown, where he will meet her dad.
