Deutch and Tatro got engaged in 2025, four years after going public with their relationship

Zoey Deutch and her fiancém, Jimmy Tatro, are gearing up for their wedding — and the actress held a special “mama summit” for their moms.
Deutch's mother, Lea Thompson, attended the Gracie Awards on May 19 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. During the red carpet, Thompson, 64, revealed exclusively with PEOPLE that she had an intimate lunch tied to the wedding.

"We had a lunch, his mom [Maria] and me and the bride, and we asked a few questions. What color should we wear? She didn't know. But yes, we're having the mama summit," she said. "Very excited."
When asked what it has been like to watch her daughter get married, Thompson said that she still gets emotional, even after she watched her other daughter, Madelyn, have her wedding in 2023.
"Well, her sister got married a couple years ago, and that was in my front yard, so that was easier. It's exciting. It makes me cry a little bit. My baby getting married," Thompson shared.
Deutch, 31, and Tatro, 34, went public with their relationship in 2021. "Just using today as an excuse to post some top notch untapped Zoey content," he wrote in an Instagram post for Valentine's Day.
While they keep most details about their love life private, Tatro grew up in California and launched a YouTube channel in 2011. He now works as an actor and comedian.
His first acting break was in 2013's Grown Ups 2 and he is set to appear in the upcoming films, Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice and Judgement Day.
Deutch also gave some insight into their "polar opposite" dynamic during a 2022 interview on the U Up? podcast.
“I would be so bored If I was dating someone who agreed with me on everything and thought everything in the same way as me — I'd be so bored by that,” she explained.
The Set It Up actress continued, “I mean I am currently with someone who is my actual polar opposite.”
The couple announced they were engaged in September 2025.
In an Instagram post breaking the news, Busy Philipps, Lili Reinhart, Vanessa Hudgens, Sarah Hyland, Topher Grace and Patrick Schwarzenegger cheered on the lovebirds.
"Three months engaged to the love of my life," Deutch wrote in her caption. In the collection of Polaroids, she showed off her ring and the proposal moment.

Thompson also shared a post to congratulate her daughter and Tatro.
"We are overjoyed to say that @zoeydeutch and @jimmy are engaged!" she wrote. "Jimmy we love you so much and you guys are such a beautiful combination. May your love help make the world better. It's made mine better! Jimmy you are so funny kind and thoughtful. I am so glad Zoey and you have each other."
